Objective: After having drawn the frame of silkworm genome, functional genome researches are in great need of providing numerous cell lines of silkworm as research platform. In order to meet with these requirements in cytobiology, developmental biology and molecular biology, establishment of new baculovirus expression vector systems and study on cell engineering in silkworm and transgenic silkworm, we conducted intensive researches on establishing and studying new cell lines of slikworm.The silk gland is one of silkworm most important organs, Usually, the silk gland is thought to be one kind of ideal model system which product sole protein, Therefore, this kind of cell raise in vitro will be helpful to research biosynthesis mechanism of sericin and the sericin. Through Bombyx mori .silk gland cell raise, we can attempt to develop one kind of production system of sericin in vitro, the silk gland cells stop differentiation in the time of larva, therefore the silk gland cells of larva are terminal differentiation cellsMethod: This experiment material is silkworm Xia Fang×Qiu Bai. Take newly-hatched silkworm silk gland which just was born, after processing vaccinates to the cell bottle.
