With the development of aquaculture, water pollution becomes more and more serious.Various pathogens (bacteria, viruses, parasites) have appeared in fishery which restrict the aquaculture. The application of various antibiotics and chemicals in prevention and therapy against bacteria makes a bad affect on fish'. flavor, furthermore, it's dangerous to customers. In order to enhance the production of fishery and produce healthy fish, it's necessary to make a study and produce natural new antibacterial medicine.Bio-antibacterial proteins are kinds of proteins with antibacterial activity, which exist in organisms widely and play an important role in resisting pathogens. They are looked as the significant components for recovery in organisms which are lack of adaptive immunity. Silurus meridionalis Chen, whose flesh is fresh and delicious, is a unique catfish of China and grows speedily, so the market is prospective. It has a high activity to resist pathogens and can survive bad water environment. Living in bad environment for long time makes Silurus meridionalis Chen get a effective function for defense, so it's rich in antibacterial-proteins . Therefore, we selecte Silurus meridionalis Chen as material to research the antibacterial-proteins and antibacterial- mechanism.
