| Henan tea region was main productive region of north of Yangtse River in China, and immemorial in history. Poet of Song dynasty—Su Dongpo praised the "Xinyang tea is the first in south of Huai river". Tea production has been the main economic resource and the important industry of the country in mountainous area of the south of Henan province.However, there were two outstanding problems in production of tea garden: one was that extent of excellent variety of tea tree was low. For example, there was 580 thousand hm~2 in Henan province, including cultivated tea garden was 192 thousand hm~2. But excellent variety was only 42 thousand hm~2, which make up of 11% in total area. Two was that tea tree was inferior in anti- intimidate so that it was prone to suffer from frozen, drought harm. The key of settling problems above depicted phenomena that an abundant of excellent varieties was strongly promoted. Excellent variety of tea tree is the foundation of the good quality, high-efficiency, and high-production tea-leaf. Furthermore, it was measure resolving tea-leaf production in Henan province.It was deepened the understand about tea and promoted the consume of tea -leaf owing to the improvement of living standard of people, extensive spread of tea-leaf culture, and the high frequency and activity of the communication of international business affairs. Excellence quality of tea-leaf depended on wonderful natural condition, outstanding tea-tree variety and technology of cultivation, normal reaping standard and exquisite technology process and etc. At the same time, tea-tree was required the high anti-intimidate, especially high anti-chilliness by virtue of tea region of Henan province located the north of in China.The research was by making use of the "Genetics and Breeding Theory", "Tea-leaf Biology Theory"," Tea-leaf Bio-chemistry Theory", and "Ecology Principle", according to the total program of the study, encompassing breeding and introduction of excellent variety and etc.
