Some experimental study for two species of Haloxylon Bunge about influence of germination by thermoperiods,fruiting wings,difference concentration of NaCl solution and sand water content. The main results were as followed :1. Seeds germination thermoperiods of H. ammodendron were wide, its optimal thermoperiods were 5℃/15℃, 5℃/25℃and 15℃/25℃, and all the seed germination percents were more than 85% in the three thermoperiods. The optimal thermoperiod for germination of H. persicum seeds was 5℃/15℃. The suboptimal thermoperiod was 15℃/25℃.2. The fresh H. ammodendron seeds had highly germination ability, and have no dormant phenomenon; The fruiting wings had significant inhibition the germination of fresh mature seed in autumn, and fruiting wings made H. ammodendron seeds maintain dormancy, but with store time extend, the effect that fruiting wings inhibited seed germination gradually alleviate, fruiting wings didn't inhibition effect of seed germination until the next spring(in 4 month). The main inhibition of fruiting wings was chemical inhibition on germination to H. ammodendron seedsThe fresh H. persicum seeds had after-ripening physiology, seed would have highly germination ability after after-ripening physiology course of one month. The fruiting wings had significant inhibition to the germination of H. persicum seeds in every store period., the inhibition of fruiting wings to H. persicum seeds not only had chemical inhibition but also had mechanical inhibition.3. The H. ammodendron seeds had more strong endurance of salt than that of H. persicum. The germination percentage of H. ammodendron seeds were above 84% the concentration of NaCl solution from 0.05 to 0.6mol/L The germination percentage and germination index of H. ammodendron seeds fell down fast because germination was affected by the concentration of NaCl solution after 0.6mol/L and germination percentage fell to zero at 1.2mol/L. The germination of H. persicum seeds were more significant inhibited by the concentration of NaCl solution, The germination percentage and germination index of H. persicum seeds fell fast than H. ammodendron seeds, the germination percentage fell to 36% in 0.4 mol/L and fell to...
