In this paper, dynamic model of the side force of tail wheel has been developed based on the experimental data. The process of dynamic changes of the side force of tail wheel has also been studied by means of this model and the optimum region of the horizontal linkage parameters is derived.The research on the stability of tillage width of power driven disk plow has been introduced as well as the history and today of the driving disk plow. A approximate function of the cultivation disk varying with the working drift angle was fitted from the experimental data and based on which the dynamic model of the side force of tail wheel was developed in the condition of the dissymmetry of the both horizontal bar.At the same time, the dynamic changing law of the side force of tail wheel was analysed as well as the effect of different inclination between the horizontal bars and the designed datum line on the initial value of the side force of the tail wheel. The results showed that when the cultivation disk groups swerve toward the untilled soil, the side force of the tail wheel descend gradually but the maximum or minimum value was not achieved within the limited region. In addition, the descend rate of side force was different with the different configuration of the both horizontal bar. In brief, the degree of the change of the side force increased with the increase of inclination between both horizontal bars. The effect was more remarkable caused by the increase of the inclination between left horizontal bar and designed datum line than that caused by the increase of the inclination between right horizontal bar and the designed datum line.
