The experiment was conducted to determine the antigen immunocompetence of glycinin, β -conglycinin and steam-processed β -conglycinin in the process of digestion and discover the variation of their immunocompetent vanishing rate through immunology.Sixteen Durck X Lndrace X Yorkshire crossbred piglets, selected from two litters , were divided into four (A,B,C,D) groups with 4 replicates (female : male =1 :1). During the ages between 22-26d, group A were fed with dairy produce; group B , C and D were fed with milk replacers respectively including purified by simplified membrane pilot-plant procedure(Shaowen Wu et al.,2000) glycinin, β-conglycinin and steam-processed β-conglycinin, taking place of protein in group A by 8 percent. All the animals were killed at the age of 26th. The digesta in stomach, middle jejunum, cecum, colon of each animal were collected. Glycinin and β -conglycinin in higher purity purified by Immunological methods(Iwabuchi et al., 1987) were made to specific antibody of the above antigens. In the digestive tract of piglets, the immunocompetence of glycinin, β -conglycinin, steam-heated β -conglycinin in the milk replacers and digesta were determined through prohibitive ELIS A and the immunocompetent vanishing rate of them were discussed by the indicator of Cr-EDTA.The results show that:With going down of the digesta along digestive tract, the immunocompetence of glycinin and β-conglycinin decreased gradually. They in stomach were evidently lower than in milk replacers (P<0. 05), and continually went down in middle jejunum where the drop scope was the largest and they had almost been lost, and still decreased in jejunum, but there was a little increasing tend in colon . Almost no immunocompetence were detected in the digesta from middle jejunum, cecum and colon. In addition, in the whole digestive tract except for colon, the immunocompetence of β-conglycinin of group D was evidently lower than group C, but higher than glycinin of group B (P<0. 05).The immunocompetent vanishing rate of glycinin and β-conglycinin tended to increase. In the whole digestive tracts, the increased scope of them in middle jejunum was the biggest, and they really tended to 1 in large intestine; the immunocompetent vanishing rate of glycinin of group B was evidently higher than β-conglycinin of group D (P<0.05),...
