The forest can hold and purify water, while water can promote the growth of forest. The forest can't develop without water. The Connectivity of Water body and Forest net (CWF) can achieve a best outcome that the water promotes the growth of forest and both the water and the forest become better. In cities, the CWF can also prevent soil erosion, purify the soil and water pollution, advance the biodiversity, improve the microclimate and air quality, increase room for spare-time entertainment, etc.The Connectivity Degree of Water body and Forest net (CDWF) reflects the status of the urban forest frame and system. Based on the buffer strips theory and meaning of CDWF, this thesis first presents the definition and calculation method for linear, facial and spatial CDWF, does quantitative research on CDWF in fix quantify, and establishes project planning for forest along water net.The author first confirms the vegetation buffer width for multi-water-system by Delphi method, which includes soil and water conservation, pollution control, landscape beautification and land resource limitation, etc. Based on the calculation method and process for the CDWF proposed in this thesis, the author uses GIS to calculate the current and planning CDWF for Guangzhou city. The calculation results indicate that after planning the vegetation buffer strips along the water system, the linear CDWF is advanced from 0.2795 to 0.3270, the facial one is advanced from 0.3549 to 0.3909 and the spatial one is advanced from 0.3058 to 0.3917. The elevation of the CDWF plays an important role in establishing a forest ecological network system with CWF for Guangzhou city. And the elevation also has signification for Guangzhou city to realize the new urban forest mode of "forest belt + forest zone + garden". Based on the analysis on the results, the author proposes the development direction and emphases for Guangzhou urban forest. The author also makes a recent project planning for CWF, which is a reference for the planning of Guangzhou urban forest.This thesis proposes the calculation method for the CDWF, and the approach for advancing the CDWF. These works will enrich the planning theory for CWF, and provide a new thought and method for the planning of urban forest. These works also has important meaning for improving regional environment and establishing ecological cities.
