Giant Panda is a kind of rare animal in the world. There are only about one thousand pandas in our country. Among the diseases leading to death of Ginat panda, the digestive disease is the most serious one.Normal - Intestinal microorganisms have great effect on animals' digestion. They synthesize vitamins for their hosts and take part in the metabolism of protein, fats and carbohydrate and as well. Most herbivores need microorganisms especially bacteria to help their digestion for fibres. The main food of Giant Panda is bamboo which has a great number of fibres. But only 51 percent fibres have been digested. Giant Panda's intestinal microorganisms are quite different from other animals'. There are less anaerobic bacteria in Giant panda's intestine than other animals'. Among Giant panda's Normal Intestinal microorganisms, the majority is lactobacillus while cellulolytic anaerobic bacterium is rare. The reason is probably that there is much air in the Giant panda's...
