| Sabina pingii belongs to the genus Sabina, family Cupressaceae. It can be used as high quality lumber, and only appears in china. But the distribution is very scarce, and only at the southwest of Sichuan province and the northwest of Yunnan province, there is a small area of wild Sabina pingii forest, which is the most important part of Zhile Nature Reserve of Sichuan province. By far, the investigations and researches about Sabina pingii are few, and mostly focus on the conformation character, distribution, living environment, and so on. As for age structure and chemical composition, there is no synthetic report. So, this paper will research the age structure and the protection policy of Sabina pingii from the micro-scopical sight and macro-scopical sight. First, we investigate the distribution and age structure of Sabina pingii population for the Zhile Nature Reserve. On the basis of investigation of wild Sabina pingii population of Zhile Nature Reserve, we protract the distribution figure of Sabina pingii, and calculate the area of distribution; meanwhile, we analyze the age structure and life table by using the age data of Sabina pingii, and we protract the age structure figure, size structure figure, survival curve figure, Mortality curve and harzard rate curve; at last, we discuss the renewal of Sabina pingii. The result demonstrated: 1) Sabina pingii is a comparatively rare and longevous tree, its maximum age up to 679a, mean age approximately at 227a. The statistical analysis of age data showed that the population of Niuchang Gouge and the population of Sancha River are comparatively less. The analysis of square differentiation showed that the age mean of the Niuchang Gouge and the age mean of the Sancha River are without prominent differentia, but limekiln and the two areas exist prominent differentia, and its p value is less than 0.001. 2) In present, the population of Sabina pingii in the protection district is relatively stable, but the renewal ability is insufficient. Its livability curves also locate around Deevery-II type. Among them, the population of Sancha River is partial to Deevery-III type, and... |
