The Study Of Fragmentation Of Forest Landscape In Wuhan Jiufeng Urban Forest Reserve

The study of landscape fragmentation has being the hotspot of landscape ecology at present. Landscape fragmentation influences landscape pattern, function and process deeply, ties up the protection of natural resources, and is also an important means to the protection of biology diversity , the quality of forest environment. This paper studied about the fragmentation of the forest landscape in jiufeng forest reserve in wuhan city and investigated the relationship between landform and the forest landscape fragmentation.Using Quickbird remote sensing data and 1:10000 relif map, combing with forest resources investigation , subcompartment drawing and properties investigation, to translate and modify the images , using arcview3.2a GIS softwar to upbuild the information system database of the forest reserve as the platform for analyzing; classified the forest landscape to three classes and built the forest landscape distributing image; combing with landscape pattern indexes to build the estimation system of the forest landscape fragmentation; estimated the forest landscape fragmentation from landscape number/shape characters and landscape spatial configuration, using the ARCGIS 8.0 and FRAGSTATES 3.3 software to calculate the patch density index, edge density index, shape index, fractal dimension, patch number fragmentation, patch shape fragmentation, aggregation index, cohesion index, percentage of like adjacencies and so on; using the primary component analysis and the relationship analysis to study the influences from landform factors of gradient, slope, exposure and altitude to forest landscape fragmentation.From the paper, we draw some conclusion as follows:(1) Landscape fragmentation is not only on the subcompartment level, but also on landscape spatial configuration level. This paper estimated the forest landscape from the two aspects and acquired preferable results. The landscape number/shape characters reflect about fragmentation degree of landscape size, number and shape; landscape spatial configuration characters reflect about fragmentation degree of landscape spatial connection and heterogeneity change.(2)To see from the estimation of landscape number/shape fragmentation characters, the distribution of the forest landscape is imbalance, the types are simplex, conifer forest is far greater than broadleaf forest, bamboo forest and shrubbery; the patches shape of the forest landscape are very abnormal; the patches polarization, landscape heterogeneity and the patch number/shape fragmentation degree are low.
