The branches and leaves of Toona ciliate and Trichilia connaroides were extracted with ethanol, its extract were partitioned on organic solvents , such as CHCL3, AcOEt, BuOH, we obtained five parts of extract. Each extract was tested in bioassays of contact toxicity, repellency and antifeedant against Pieris rapae L larvae, Phyllotreta striolata and Nilaparvata lugens. The test results suggest that the chloroform part was most significant effect, because of the higher contact toxicity , repellency and antifeedant effect. After 24 hours action, the mortality rate against Phyllotreta striolata were 89.38% and the antifeedant rate against Pieris rapae L larvae were 97.7% of Trichilia connaroides's chloroform part. The repellency rate against Nilaparvata lugens were 93.8% of Toona ciliate's chloroform part, respectively, more significant than the other parts. And the antifeedant rate against Pieris rapae L larvae were 60.9% of No.6 part of Toona ciliate's chloroform part after 24 hours action. The symptom of poisoning of insects has been recorded after bioassays. The result showed that the chloroform extract effected significant on the tested insects. Preliminary research on the action mechanism of chloroform part was performed on the important vegetable...
