It's of important meanings for study on the dispersion-flocculation behavior of clays in soil to soil environment protection. Clay is one of the most important components of soil. The stability of clays has great effect on the physical, chemical and biological characters of soil. Thus, dispersion-flocculation behavior of clays has always being the hot topic of the world. The research objects of this dissertation were Shanghai clays distilled from laboratory and three clay minerals. We researched the influence of several compounds to dispersion-flocculation behavior of clays, such as surfactants and polymers, inorganic cations and heavy metals, and the absorption behavior and dispersion-flocculation mechanism of clays with different pH.The results from the experiment of clay dispersion-flocculation with surfactants indicated that, 1) all of the absorptions of three surfactants in soil reached saturation round their CMC (Critical micelle concentration). The sequence of saturated adsorption amount (Qsat) was CTAB (Cetyltrimethylammonium bromide) >> A12E9 (Alcohol eth oxylates with 12 carbons and 9 oxyethyl groups) > SDBS (Sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate). The mechanisms of three surfactants were...
