Preparation of florfenicol ultrafine powder and its pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics in chickens were studied in this paper.1 Preparation of florfenicol ultrafine powderFlorfenicol ultrafine powders were prepared by the TC — 10 type ultrasonic pulverizator system. The granule of florfenicol was decreased in size and the face area was augmented. The bioavailability and solubility in water were increased significantly. The result showed that the solubility of three sizes of 400 sieve, 600sieve and 800sieve was increased by 2.84, 3.17 and 3.24 times respectively than the solubility of 60 sieve (P<0.01). The solubility of 600 sieve and 800 sieve was significantly different compared with the 400 sieve. However, there was no difference between 600 sieve and 800 sieve. The solubility of ultrafine powder with two carriers was not increased significantly. The result of the study on stability showed that the properties and content of the ultrafine-powder didn't changed significantly for 180 days at airproof station with room temperature.2 Study on pharmacokinetics of florfenicol ultrafine-powder in chickensPharmacokinetics of florfenicol ultrafine-powder and florfenicol powder were studied on healthy and experimentally E.coli infected broiler chickens following single oral administration at a dose of 30mg·kg-1.
