In this paper, the characteristics of soil organic carbon (SOC) pool, potential mineralization carbon (PMC) pool, microbial biomass carbon (MBC) pool, and the dissolubility organic carbon (DOC) pool have been investigated to discover the relationship of soil organic carbon pool among different land use types in Tiantong. The main findings as followed:(l)The soil organic carbon pool was significantly decreased among different land use types from the Castanopsis fargesii forest to the bare land, and the soil N pool were significantly decreased among different land use types too. But the soil C/N and the soil bulk density were significantly increased among different land use types from the Castanopsis fargesii forest to the bare land.(2)The soil PMC pool was significant decreased among different land use types. The result can be ordered as follows: the Castanopsis fargesii forest> the Schima superba forest> shrubs> tea garden> the plantation of Cunninghamia lanceola>the Pinus massoniana forest> the plantation of Pseudolarix kaempferi > the plantation of Phyllostachys pubescens >bare land.(3) The soil MBC pool was significantly decreased among different land use types. The result can be ordered as follows: the Castanopsis fargesii forest> the Schima superba forest> shrubs> tea garden> the Pinus massoniana forest>the plantation of Phyllostachys pubescens>the plantation of Pseudolarix kaempferi >the plantation of Cunninghamia lanceola>bare land.(4) The soil DOC pool was significantly decreased among different land use types. The result can be ordered as follows: the Castanopsis fargesii forest> the Schima superba forest> shrubs> the plantation of Pseudolarix kaempferi > tea garden> the plantation of Cunninghamia lanceola>the plantation of Phyllostachys pubescens> the Pinus massoniana forest>bare land.(5) By comparisons, the soil MBC was positively correlated with the soil SOC. The soil DOC/SOC is negatively correlated with the soil SOC.(6) By comparisons, the soil PMC was positively correlated with the soil MBC. the soil PMC is positively correlated with the soil DOC. the soil MBC is positively correlated with the soil DOC.(7) By comparisons, the soil MBC is positively correlated with the soil C/N.(8) The result showed that, by the decrease of the soil PMC, MBC, DOC, the soil organic carbon pool was significantly decreased among different land use types. The characteristic of soil carbon pools among different land use types can be ordered as follows: the Castanopsis fargesii forest, the Schima superba forest, shrubs> the plantations, the Pinus massoniana forest >bare land.
