A regional soil erosion model is a tool of fixed date investigation and soilconservation macro decision for country and province, Its also a advancing front area of soil erosion course. Use regional soil erosion can help know the influence of soil erosion to environment element. Its establishment is advantageous to analyze the relationship of basin or regional land utilization change with flow off and erosion. The main contents use the basic function of GIS, the research subjects is loess plateau, based on the analyze of regional soil erosion, according to the principle of hydrology and soil erosion, based on analyze of the process of regional soil erosion, and binding the software development method, based on the exist foundation, alteration and consummate the arithmetic and program code of previous model, developed and finished the distributed soil erosion model based on GIS, made the regional soil erosion model a further develop. The model considered includes precipitation, interception, and infiltration, storage in micro depressions, overland flow, erosion and deposit of sediment and so on. The regional is divided into regular cells based on DEM, and the monthly process of rainfall is divided into time steps. The individual cell and time step are regarded as basic computing units. The model is developed and run depend on ArcGIS and dot net framework. By taking the Yanhe basin as an example, calculate the flow of and the soil erosion of July 1995, validate by calculate, the result can general reflect the spatiotemporal distribution trend of soil erosion, the spatial pattern and structure of the output pattern accord with the actual condition. The model not only offer support tool to regional soil erosion census and dynamic monitoring, but also can widening field for the soil erosion course research.
