Wireless Sensor Network(WSN), which is made by the convergence of sensor, embedded computation, networks and wireless communication technologies, is a novel technology about acquiring and processing information. Many application of wireless sensor networks are based on sensor self-positioning, such as battlefield surveillance, environment monitoring, object tracking and other, which depend on first knowing the location of sensor nodes. Thus, the problem of node localization is the precondition of many applications of sensor networks, and is also one of the foundation technologies of wireless networks.A NMDS-RSSI (nonmetric MDS and Received Signal Strength Indication) localization algorithm is presented, which runs nonmetic MDS on RSSI between nodes instead of distance to localization, so it avoids the process of transforming RSSI into distance by other localization approaches based RSSI, and can reduce errors about which this kind of transformation brings.The localization algorithm NMDS-RSSI in this paper present are consist of centralized and distributed. The distributed NMDS-RSSI localization algorithm is joined conglomeration antilogy, and the nodes in network are divided into vary conglomeration. Then, these conglomerations carry through local localization , and these local relatively graphics are incorporated into entirety relatively graphic, in this way, algorithm can reduce time complexity in plenty of degree, and can enhance the algorithm' enlargement.By using nonmetric MDS, the localization approach provides robust localization through simulations and real mote experiments, even in the presence of random RSSI fluctuations due to multi-path fading and shadowing.Wireless sensor networks has widely application ever in national defence or other fields. Especially in greenhouse, precision framing, irrigation in farmland, pasturage and breed aquatic agriculture application has great value of application and extendtion. The study of this technology will drive the tenor of our country's information construction and advances the development of the related domain and subjects, and steps our country's national power. And in the end, thesis introduce the application on agriculture.
