The difference between the ripening rate of single field plant and that of single treated plant is used in measuring the function of cold-resistance, The result indicated that in booting stage, there is not the varieties (combinations) with very strong cold-resistance; the varietics (combinations) with strong cold-resistance are Jinyou 63, You 838; the varieties (combinations) with normal cold-resistance are You5832, Nongfeng A/YR 256, T You 568, Qianyou 425, Shanyou 77, Jinyou 431; the varieties (combinations) with weak cold-resistance are Guyou 527, Jinyou Gui 99, Keyou 8, Chuanxiang 3, Tianyou 998, K You 117; the varieties (combinations) with extreme weak cold-resistance are Jinxiangyou 830, Gangyou 725, Jinyou 425. in flowering period, there is not the varieties (combinations) with very strong cold-resistance; the varieties (combinations) with strong cold-resistance are Gangyou 5832, Maoyou 601, II You 838, Chuanxiang 3, Shanyou 77, Tianyou 998, Jinyou Gui 99, K You 117, T You 568, Jinyou 63; the varieties (combinations) with normal cold-resistance arc Jinxiangyou 830, Nongfeng A/YR 256, Keyou 8; the varieties (combinations) with weak cold-resistance are Jinyou 425;therc is not the varieties (combinations) with extreme weak cold-resistance. The result measured by artificial climate box is nearly the same as the appraisal result of cold resistance obtained in the experiment of natural condition and sowed in different time by the academy of Agricultural Sciences of Guizhou Province in 2004, 2005. these indexes can comprehensively indicate the cold-resistance of the varicties(combination) , at the same time, the climatic change rule of many years of 8 districts or counties in Guiyang also has been the analyzed generally, according to the generalized analysis result and the paddy rice cold resistance appraisal practice, and the suitable theory that the average temperature in flowering period of paddy rice should higher than 20℃and the average temperature in complete heading stage of paddy rice should be 22℃and, Guiyang should be divided into the warm area with reference to the average temperature (trough areas that elevation is lower than 800 meters), the general warm area (mountain or hill countries that elevation is from 800 meters to 1100 meters) and the relative cold sector (mountain or hill countries that elevation is higher than 1100 meters).
