The area of muskmelon protected culitivate is increased gradually in these years,but the disease is decreased the production of muskmelon badly.The ways of preventing disease have many shortages,Induced resistance to disease was a more healthy and safer way.So we can say study induced resistance to photosynthetic ability,prodution and translocation of of muskmelon is useful.Two muskmelon cultivars were treated with 0.35mmoL.L-1 BTH and 1mmoL.L-1 SA at 5-leaf stage, and then inoculated with Sphaerotheca fuliginea seven days after spraying with BTH and SA.The muskmelon leaf area, Chlorophyll content,photosynthetic rate,stomata conductance,Fo,Fv/Fo,Fv/Fm,ΦPSⅡ,Fv'/Fm',Drate,yield and fruit quality were determ ined to study.The results showed that:(1)After praying with BTH and SA, and Sphaerotheca fuliginea inoculation, the leaf area were not increased significantly, but the chlorophyll content, photosynthetic rate and stomata conductance were significantly higher than that of control not only in treated leaves, but also in induced leaves. So we can concluded that BTH and SA treatment could relieve the decreased of the Chlorophyll contents , the photosynthesis rates and the stomata conductance, increased leaf longevity,and increased leaf photosynthetic ability.(2)After praying with BTH and SA,Fo were not increased significantly,but Fv/Fo,Fv/Fm,ΦPSⅡand Fv'/Fm' were significantly higher than that of control,Drate were decreased significantly after treatment;After Sphaerotheca fuliginea inoculation, Fo and Drate were increased significantly,Fv/Fo,Fv/Fm,ΦPSⅡand Fv'/Fm'were decresed significantly, but BTH and SA treatment could relieve the decreased of the Fv/Fo,Fv/Fm,ΦPSⅡand Fv'/Fm' and relieve the increased of Fo and Drate.(3) In order to study the effects of BTH and SA spraying on assimilate production and translocation of muskmelon ,two muskmelon cultivars were treated with 0.35mmoL·L-1 BTH and 1mmoL.L-1 SA after anthesis. The results showed that: spraying BTH and SA was helpful for improving fruit weight, fruit yield.After spraying BTH and SA, the fruit rigidity of both muskmelon was increased significantly, soluble solid contents of Kalakesai muskmelon were significantly higher than that of control, meamwhile effects of BTH and SA treatment on soluble solid contents of Tam Dew muskmelon were not significantly. So we can conclud that BTH and SA treatment can increase muskmelon yield and improve fruit quality.
