Study On Genetic Diversity Of Germplasm Resources In Annual Medics

The developmental stage and observation of external shape of 22 accessions of annual medics were studied,and characters of annual medics had been statistically analyzed and their morphological types clustering examined. The result shows:①Measured of germination rate of annual medics in Lanzhou and Gaolan was discovered that germination rate of Medicago truncatula, including DZA51, FE61, FE62, J1.11, J1.12 and TM361, was above 89%, besides TM361 was 27%. Especially, FE61 and J1.11 and J1.12Ex were 100% in Lanzhou. Annual medics including WM5003, WM51.6, SA37.11, SA36.11, ML 51, Silver, MS51, MS53, MS55, MS58, Santiago and Herald, the number of seedling emergence of WM5003 and WM51.6 was most and the number was 223 and 221 respectively, Sliver and MS58 was lower.②The stem of annual medics was erection type or stolon type,the stem height reached 7-30.7cm,seeds were yellow and kidney shape,the developmental stage was 95~140 days,the accessions of annual medics will be divided into prematurity type and serotinous type by the developmental stage. Medicago truncatula and Medicago scutellata wew prematurity type, the developmental stage was 95 days; Medicago polymorpha, Medicago littoralis and Medicago lupilina were serotinous type, developmental stage was 110,140 and 110 respectively.③The change greatly among the accessions of annual medics,with the coefficient of variation of caulis length and nature height ranking first at 43. 0% and 42.9%,followed by leaf length and leaf width,with the coefficient of variation reaching 33.3% and 30.0%. The coefficient of variation of the second caulis and spread length reached 27.6% and 22.1%.④The accessions with higher caulis and the second caulis always boasted higher nature height;the accessions with higher spread length always boasted higher leaf length and leaf width.⑤Factor analysis was performed for 6 quantitative characters of 22 accessions of annual medics.The results indicated that these characters of the accessions might be simplified to 2 independent character groups controlled by 2 main factors. Main factor 1, a length growth factor, consisted of caulis length, nature height, leaf length and the second caulis length; flesh weight of fruit, single fruit weight and pedicel length. The accumulative contribution rate of the major factor to total variation accounted for over 88%, maintaining most of information of 6 characters.The selective efficiency and the objective pertinency on breeding will be raised by means of main factors in annual medics.⑥Five kinds of annual medics were disvered by"t"test in Ginghai and Gaolan, that annual medics besides Medicago scutellata in spread length and nature height were insignificant in the test.⑦The accessions of annual medics will be divided into three morphological types by cluster analysis of morphological type. The first was erection type with longer caulis and higher plant, eight shares, accounted for 34.6% in overall resource; the second was stolon type with longer spread length, average spread length was 27.5cm, eight shares, accounted for 34.6% in overall resource; the third was low type with lower plant, average height was 5.5cm and average spread length was 19cm, six shares, accounted for 27.3% in overall resource.
