The hybrid bamboo(Bambusa pervariabilis×Dendrocalamopisis grandis) blight is an importantepidemic disease. The research around bamboos blight had been so much, but around thehybrid bamboo blight little because of it being discovered recent years. Now the hybridbamboo blight as the object was studied in this paper, and the content is includingpathogeny,The law of occurrence and development of disease, pathogenesis, hostresistance, control and so on. The results as follows:The result of the investigation of typical plots distributed in Yaan implicated that thedisease commonly occurs on young hybrid bamboo with characteristic symptom of brownrhombus spots on bamboo node. Spatial distribution pattern of infected host population isaggregation distribution, and the degree of aggregation increased with infected hostpopulation density rising. The pathogeny infected host through wound, natural orifice, wound of freezing injury on bamboo node. The disease starts to happen from April, happening most seriously from July to August, stopping developing in October, andpathogeny overwintering. Environmental factors play a important role in the epidemic ofthe disease. The pathogeny of the disease was identified as Arthrinium phaeospermum(corda)M.B.Ellis.In addition,we had separated a fungus that was subordination comparewith Arthrinium phaeospermum (corda)M.B.Ellis, and the fungus was identified asCeratosphaeria phyllostachydis Zhang that could succeed to inoculate on the hybridbamboo fewness, implicated that there was compound infection on the hybrid bamboo. The experiment indicated the pathogeny may act on host by producing a protein toxin ordegrading enzymes, but the pathogenic matter just produced by pathogeny under hostinducing. The study on ralationship between the hybrid bamboo blight and the freezing injuryshowed that the LT50 of hybrid bamboo is 2.77℃, higher than the lowest-month averageair temperature 2.3℃recent years in Yaan, and also higher than the lowest-day airtemperature-2.4℃recent years in Yaan, implicated that hybrid bamboo suffered fromfreezing injury easily and wound of freezing injury on bamboo node was the importantapproach by which pathogeny infected host. The study on physiological resistance of hybrid bamboo to the hybrid bamboo blightshowed that the relative conductivity, the content dissolubility protein, the activities of peroxidase(POD), polyphenol oxidase (PPO), phenylalanine amonnia lyase(PAL)ininfected host increased significantly with the disease developing. The analysis of thephysiological index showed that there was no significant difference on the activities ofPAL, PPO, POD between hybrid bamboo and Neosinocalamus affinis (Rendle) Keng fimplicated that those enzyme could be induced enzyme. While the relative conductivity, the content dissolubility protein in hybrid bamboo was significant higher than those inNeosinocalamus affinis (Rendle) Keng f, implicated that the physiological resistance ofNeosinocalamus affinis (Rendle) Keng f higher than hybrid bamboo.12 fungicides were Screened for controlling pathogeny (Arthrinium phaeospermum(corda)M.B.Ellis)by using growing method and spore germination method in laboratory.Result showed that 4 fungicides which included thiophanate-methyl,carbendazine,Mancozeb,Thiram+Ziram had better effect on inhibiting growing of the pathogeny. Ingeneral, the thiophanate-methyl had been identified as the best fungicide against thepathogeny according to hypha growing inhibitory rate and spore germination inhibitoryrate.Author of the paper frame the mutiple control method of the disease according toreseach on pathogeny and the law of occurrence and development of disease andfungicides screening. After controlling, incidence decreased 60%and disease indexdecreased 42.6%, get 70.6% of control effectiveness in the disease epidemic zone.
