In order to select more hybrid rice varieties which adapt to planting in Xinyangregion, the relationships between the yield of rice and different seedling ages, seedlingdensity and levels of applying fertilization have been studied. And the resistance tobacterial blight was also analyzed.Different seedling ages finally affected the number of tillers, seed rate and yield ofrice. for Fengyouxiangzhan, it should be sown about April 20 in Xinyang region; and 35dis more suitable for its seedling age. Planting density is most important to hybrid rice. Theresults showed that 13.3 cm between plants within a row and 20 cm distance of rows,basic seedling of fifty thousand is the optimum for Fengyouxiangzhan in this area. Inaddition, the amount of fertilization is one of important factors to improve rice yield. Forhybrid rice of Fengyouxiangzhan, fertilizer of about 10.8 kg pure nitrogen, 4.1 kg P2O5and 5.5 kg K2O percent 667m2 is more suitable. And Liangyoupeijiu has better capabilityof resistance to bacterial blight.Of all these hybrid rice varieties, the yield of Fengyouxiangzhan is highest, the nextto Liangyou932, yields of them are about 691 kilogram and 606.3 kilogram each 667m2,respectively. They can be planted widely in Xinyang region. And Yueyou 938, accordingto agronomic traits and yield characteristics, has huge potential to yield, but effect onclimate easy. Thus, it will further research thoroughly. Liangyoupei 0293 and Yixiangyou3003 are very lower yield, and are not suitable to planting and extension for large areasin Xinyang.
