The sheep were randomly divided into four groups (three treatments and one control group) with different fluoride adding levels which respectively were 0,50,100,150 mg/kg .Objective to investigate the effects of long term intake of high-fluorine aquatics on biomechanical properties ,BMD,collagen of tibias and the morphological changes of typeâ…¡collagen fiber of the sheep ribs. The BMP-2 mRNA expression and distribution in the rib cartilage of sheep were detected by in situ hybridization.Results:1 Densely fluorinated aquatics resulted in running off Ca and BMD, the content of collagen fiber was increased and the structure of collagen fiber was changed; Overdose collagen fiber degradation were accelerated by high-fluorine aquatics, and the bone was sclerosed. The bone intrinsic biomechanical properties could be improved by fluorinated aquatics treatments.2 The typeâ…¡collagen content and changes of the structure and distribution in rib cartilage were increased after long term intake of densely fluoridated aquatics .3 The long term intake of densely fluoridated aquatics could stimulate BMP-2 expression and made the distribution in sheep rib cartilage different from control group. Made it expressed abnormally in sheep rib cartilage on different phase . Exorbitant fluoride inhibited BMP-2 expression in sheep costal cartilage directly or indirectly.BMP-2 mRNA were empressed in sheep's rib cartilage by Diglabeled in situ hybridization was the first time. Evaluation and analysis of bone organization and rib cartilage using the three-point bending and compression test, picrosirus-polarization method, in situ hybridization, normal regulations analysis methods of bone metabolism and mineral quality.
