Growth stage is one important character to soybean. Located the QTL controlling soybeangrowth stage by genetic linkage, is very useful to molecular breeding and deeper understand theprocess of growth stage develop. Doing molecular breeding by QTL of growth stage, is not onlyenlarger the area of soybean plant, but also make the excellent variety more suitable to theenvironment where it comes from.In this research one recombination inbred lines including 153 lines were used, which derivedfrom the cross between America semi-draft cultivar and Dongnong 594. Each growth stage ofsoybean was analyzed in this research. In the same time, partial least squire was used to analyze thedata of growth stage. Main effect QTL is found by located using the data analyzed by partial leastsquire.1. Soybean growth stage was surveyed by the international standard. Two years and three pointsexperiments were did in 2004 field and 2005 field and 2005 potted without bottom. In general, thesoybean growth stage appeared clearly exceed the parents. Total growth stage distributing as singlepeak in different environments. Only single line has little change in different environments. So thegrowth stage is sensitivity to environment.2. The soft ware QTLMap 2.0 which can analyze the effect of environment was used to locate QTL.Main effect and epistatic effect were analyzed at the same time. 115 QTLs were found in each onegrowth stage, including 61 QTLs in vegetative stage, and 54 QTLs in reproductive stage. 117 pairsepistatic QTLs were found, including 61 QTLs in vegetative growth stage, and 56 QTLs inreproductive.Only single point was found in the early stage of vegetative stage, more points were found bythe growth stage develop. The number of QTLs has little change till the ends of growth stage. Butthere was no QTL appearance in some vegetative stage, same QTL point can be found in differentstage, and new QTL point also was found in same stage. The result shows that there was much genelocus control the vegetative growth stage, but the real reason needs more experiment to identify. Many more QTLs were found in each reproductive stage, so the mechanism of reproductive stagedifferent forms vegetative stage. Only some QTLs have no environment effect, so these QTLs should be the main effects QTLcontrolling growth stage. More many QTLs have environment effect; this shows soybean growthstage was sensitive to environment in molecular level.3. By the analysis of partial least squire to QTL, main effects QTLs were found. There were highconsistency between classic result and analysis by partial least squire. Partial least squire canreduce the complex of data; it is helpful to QTL analysis in the future.QTL stability and QTL relation can be deep understood by epistatic analysis and analysis inmany years and environments. Understanding the stability and relation of QTLs, has deepcontribution to molecular breeding and gene clone.
