Tea is Guzhang county's superiority industry, but Euproctis pseudoconspersa Strand hasbeen taken for granted to be the main harmful pest insect in the Guzhang county tea garden,which has seriously affected the tea product and the quality. This project has a more systematicinvestigation and research to Euproctis pseudoconspersa Strand in Guzhang county whichcarried on with preventing and controlling, through observing bionomics of this pest insect invarious tea-growing regions, grasped Euproctis pseudoconspersa Strand's occurrence rule,enhanced the forecast of it. And through applying Euproctis pseudoconspersa Strand virusformulation, sex pheromone attractants, lamp trap, to gain the new technology to prevent andcontrol Euproctis pseudoconspersa Strand's. This experiment carries on in 2005-2006, test resultas follows:1. Euproctis pseudoconspersa Strand has three generations in one year, it over wintered byeggs beyond the middle and top leaves of root of stem. The larva damages seasons are spring,summer, fall in Guzhang county. Various generations growth period, the larva period has beenproved to be the first generation was the longest period, therefore it damage to spring tea to belong and seriously. The sex of female and male is in a ratio of about 1:1 in field. The female canborn 196 eggs at one time, and egg hatch rate is quite high, sometimes it can reach95ï¼…, especially there were no natural enemies existed. The imagos are phototropic, and femalesex pheromone was sensitive to male adults. The larva has strong gathering preying on ability,and it becomes pupation in soil of the bottom of tea trees.2. EPNPV was applied in indoor experiments, and the results showed that EP virus liquidformulation, EP virus-Bt mixed formulation, EP virus-Decis (bromine cyanogen chrysanthemumester) mixed formulation have the good preventing and controlling effect to the first and secondgeneration larvas. EP virus-Decis mixed formulation has the fastest protect effect, and EPvirus-Bt mixed formulation has longest prevent effect period. In the three concentrations of EPvirus liquid formulation, through analysis of variance, the results have shown that spraying with EP virus liquid formulation 660x and 1000x proved to be more effective than 2000x after 18days. And the prevent method should according to the generation, dynamics of population, larvaperiod, and some other factors.3. Using sex pheromone attractants to trap Euproctis pseudoconspersa Strand in field test, itshowed that in the third generation adults' period, 4896 male adults were trapped in 10 bowls in34 days, and at average 14.4 males were trapped in one bowl every night, and the highest recordwas 48 males were trapped in one night. The densities of pregnancy females, eggs, larvaobviously reduced by74.3ï¼…,59.8ï¼…and 60.9ï¼…in the tested fields, compared with in control field.The result indicated that the most effective condition is 1.5mg/pill sex attractants, and height is90cm.The pest has a little peak during the middle of October, and three peaks from 22,Oct.to 30,Oct, and the peak in Oct 23 th-24th is the highest one. All the observation provided the optimumtime of control of Euproctis pseudoconspersa Strand.4. The usage of PS-15â…¡Frequency-vibrancy pest-killing lamp is an advanced physicalmeasure in prevention and control of Euproctis pseudoconspersa Strand. Three lamps can trapand kill 3420 heads Euproctis pseudoconspersa Strand. In 14 days, the average of each lamp is18 heads every night, the highest trap and kill reaches 129 heads. Investigation of egg and larvato the pilot area and in the control farm plot tea garden shows that separately reduces 77.7ï¼…and71.4ï¼…compared to the control farm plot the next year. It has obtained good preventing andcontrolling effect. But it may cause hurt natural enemies and effect the safe of human andanimals, and because it need electric power, and the high cost, suggestions on applied, time, andsafety were given in the this paper.
