Using T-like plant container method to observe the root growth condition and simulate livestock utilization intensity through mowing on different stubble height to research the regrowth yield, regrowth capability, underground organ growth condition and the Carbohydrate of Caucasian clover(Trifolium ambiguum Bieb.). Meanwhile, the Carbohydrate Dynamics of the underground organ for the Caucasian clover lived in the field was measured. The results showed that:1. The average growth speed of Caucasian clover from 0cm to 70cm was 1.59cm. After 34d of planting, the daily growth speeds was up to the highest of 3.29cm.2. The total yield after mowing of Caucasian clover was correlatied to stubble height and mowing rate. Comparing to non-mowing, mowing increased the dry matter yield significantly(P<0.05). But as the stubble height increased, the regrowth speed, intensity and density decreased.3. The effect of mowing on root of Caucasian clover was significant(P<0.05), that was as the mowing rate increased, root weight and root length decreased, but root water contain increased. It showed us that the mowing decreased the dry matter contain obviously.4. Middle intensity of mowing on Caucasian clover could promote the growth of rhizome. But if the stubble height is too low, rhizome spread would be restricted.5. In this experiment pattern, the effect of mowing on the carbohydrate of Caucasian clover is inapparent(P>0.05), but if the stubble height was as short as 03cm,, the decrease of total carbohydrate contain was significant(P<0.05).6. The carbohydrate showed disciplinarian various in the whole year. There were three obvious fluctuations. Total sugar contain decreased in Mar. 25 and in July 10 obviously, the largest reducing sugar contain is in Feb. 25,Aug. 10 and Oct. 16.
