Urban greenland system was an important part of urban ecological system, it had much positive effect on the beautification of environment, protection of the urban environment ecological balance of city. The garden tree was the main part of greenland system. This study area located in the east district of campus of Inner Mongolia Agricultural University ,which were located in the Hohhot. Six species of garden plants were selected as experiment material, they were Syringa oblate, Prunus davidiana, Euonymus bungeanus, Quercus liaotungensis, Prunus sibirica, Salix babylonica。The study was measured simultaneously with Li-6400 portable photosynthesis system and Delta-T automatic weather stations. Some physiological indexes were analyzed in the May,.August,September and October. such as: photosynthetic rate (Pn),transpiration rate (Tr) ,water use efficiency (WUE)and correlation with its environmental factor. On the basies of this work, its ecological benefits were analyzed, such as: carbon fixation and oxygen release, temperature drop and humidity increase,and dust-moving.By understanding physiological characteristicsand ecological function of garden trees。some scientific grounds were drawn for the choice and arrangement of trees in ecological gardens,...
