Octadecyl trimethyl ammonium chloride is a novel fungicidal and insecticide,and the information on the bioactivity and mechanisms of the Lipaphis erysimi(Kaltenbach)is not available.In order to test the bioactivity of contact toxicity,antifeedant effects and systemic toxicity,and confirm the commended field using dosage,and study the effect of octadecyl trimethyl ammonium chloride acting on the Lipaphis erysimi(Kaltenbach)of the CarE,AChE and GSTs activity,the bioassay measure in the room,field trial and action mechanism experiment were carried in the paper.The main results are listed as follows:1.The results of the bioassay measure in the room showed that octadecyl trimethyl ammonium chloride had strong contacting and antifeedant poison against the Lipaphis erysimi(Kaltenbach),the LD50of contact toxicity of 24h,48h and 72h after treatment were 341.97mg/L,122.19mg/L and 76.26mg/L respectively.octadecyl trimethyl ammonium chloride also showed strong antifeedant effects against the Lipaphis erysimi (Kaltenbach),the AFC50of antifeedant effects of 24h,48h and 72h after treatment were 268.92 mg/L,185.18 mg/L and 153.64mg/L respectively.But octadecyl trimethyl ammonium chloride hadn't sypoison against the Lipaphis erysimi(Kaltenbach),the LC50 of systemic toxicity of 48h and 72h after treatment were 2363.36mg/L and 1849.58mg/L.2.Field trial results show that 2%octadecyl trimethyl ammonium chloride SP had a good efficiency against both Myzu Persicae(Sulzer)and Lipaphis erysimi(Kaltenbach). Its efficiency was significantly lower than the efficiency of 4.5%Beta-cypermethrin EC 1 day after treatment,but its efficiency was significantly higher than the efficiency of 4.5% Beta-cypermethrin EC 7 day after treatment.The efficiency was 92.75%,when 2% octadecyl trimethyl ammonium chloride SP with 1200g/667m2 against Lipaphis erysimi (Kaltenbach).The commended field using dosage was 700g/667m2.3.The primary action mechanisms experiment showed that octadecyl trimethyl ammonium chloride can significantly restrain the CarE and GSTs activity of Lipaphis erysimi(Kaltenbach),and the restrained degree was correctitude correlation with treatment dosage and time.But octadecyl trimethyl ammonium chloride had no significant revulsive-activation or restraining action to the AChE activity of Lipaphis erysimi (Kaltenbach). Summing up,octadecyl trimethyl ammonium chloride have remarkable poison to Lipaphis erysimi(Kaltenbach),and it can be used as effective pesticides for controling Lipaphis erysimi(Kaltenbach).The action drone of octadecyl trimethyl ammonium chloride to Lipaphis erysimi(Kaltenbach)and the bio-chemistrical course of the detoxification metabolization and activation should be studied on the next step,in order to offer instructions for the further application.
