Comparative Study On Main Characters Of New Wheat Strains 223 And 2138 In Different Density

In order to have an evaluation for the synthesis performance of the wheat new strain 223 and 2138,to search for the best planting density of the different strains, and to provide appropriate cultivated measure for the promotion and the application of new varieties, 13 main agronomic characters of wheat new strain were analyzed, including mature spike number, plant height, stem length under spike, spike length, fertile spikelet, grain number per spike, weight per spike, grain quality, kilo-grain weight, yield per plant and the yield of single grain, and so on. These characters are also statistically analyzed by using correlation analysis, regression analysis, path analysis and stepwise regression analysis, gray correlation and TOPSIS analysis in multi-analysis. The results are listed as follow:1. The variance analysis show that differences of stem length under spike, neck length, uniformity degree, infertile spikelet number and spike length between the two wheat strains are not significant, but difference of plant weight, the spike number per plant, spike weight, grain yield and quality are significant. Strain 223 had the biggest spike weight under the density of 160000 seedings/666.7㎡,and had the most yield under the density of 100000 seedings/666.7㎡; The strain 2138 had the heaviest spike weight under the density of 160,000 seedling /666.7㎡ (2.5g) and the best grain yield (453.4kg/666.7㎡); yield characters of the strain 223 are better than strain 2138, but quality characters of the strain 2138 are better than the stair 223..2. The correlation analysis shows that, under the density of 100,000 seedling /666.7㎡, the correlation between single spikes and plant weight, spike length and single grains of strain 223 are positive and significant(r=0.49,r=0.57), the correlation between single spike and grain yield is the most positive and significant (r=0.72). The correlation between ear length and grain yield is up to 0.53 and was positive and significant; under 160,000 seedling /666.7㎡ planter density, the correlation between spike length and plant weight of the strain 2138 is up to 0.54 which indicates positive and significant, the correlation between plant weight and grains per spike, spike weight and plant weight are the most positive and significant with correlation coefficient up to 0.59 and 0.73, the correlation between ear length, grains per spike and spike weight is positive and significant.3. Path analysis and stepwise regression analysis show that the best regression analysis equation between yield and characters of the strain 223. According to the direct path analysis of the remarkable characters of the yield (Y), respective direct path coefficients of the stem length under spike and mature spike number related to the single plant yield (Y) are 0.9935, and 0.7217. The contribution of the various characters of the strain 223 to the yield is stem length under spike>mature spike number>spike weight>grain per spike>neck length ; path analysis and step by step regression showed that the best regression analysis equation between yield and characters of the strain 2138. According to the direct path analysis of the remarkable characters of the yield (Y), respective direct path coefficients of the seed number per spike related to the single plant yield (Y) are 0.2880. The contribution of the various characters of the strain 2138 to the yield is the seed number per spike>spike weight>spike length>single spike>plant weight .4. The main characters of new wheat strains were analyzed with the gray correlation. The contribution of the main characters to the yield is spike length>fertile spikelet number >stem length under spike>plant height>protein content>uniformity degree>infertile spikelet number >spikes number per plant>seed weight per spike>1000-kernel weight>neck length. The contribution of the main characters to the quality is plant height>fertile spikelet number >seed weight per spike>1000-kernel weight>pike length>uniformity degree>yield>stem length under spike>infertile spikelet number >spikes number per plant>neck length.5. The result of the TOPSIS analysis shows the yield of the strain 223 in the density of 100000 seedings/666.7㎡ and the yield in the density of 220000 seedings/666.7㎡ are in the first and the second place, so are they with comprehensive evaluation .The comprehensive evaluation results are the same as that of the correlation analysis, path analysis and stepwise regression analysis. Its proper to choose 100000seedings/666.7㎡ for the strain 223 and 160000seedings/666.7㎡ for the strain 2138.
