Cd2+ is environmental pollution and has toxic effect on organism. This experiment studied the growth and antioxidant effects of Triticum aestivum under different concentration of Cd2+ stress, which offered some evidence on studying the damage of Triticum aestivum under Cd2+ stress and how Triticum aestivum could resist the damage of Cd2+.Furthermore,we also researched the growth and antioxidant effects of Triticum aestivum under Zn2+-Cd2+ compounds stress, which offered some evidence on how Zn2+ alleviated the damage of Cd2+ .The results were as follows.1.The germination of Triticum aestivum under different concentration of single Zn2+ and Cd2+ and Zn2+-Cd2+ compounds:Certain concentration of Cd2+ and Zn2+ affected the germination remarkably. The germination and the seedling growth increased notably under 20mg/L Zn2+ and 1mg/L Cd2+;the germination ratio, germination energy, shoot length and root length decreased fastly and seedling growth inhibited distinctly with the increasing concentration of 50mg/L Zn2+ and Cd2+; the effect of Cd2+was higher than Zn2+. We could conclude that 20mg/L Zn2+ could promote the germination brought by Cd2+ stress.2.The growth and antioxidant effect of Triticum aestivum under different concentration of single Cd2+ when cultivating in water and soil respectively:1mg/L Cd2+and≦3mg/kg Cd2+ had no adversely effect on growth, but had promoted effect on biomass, chlorophyll ,root vigor, soluble protein , antioxidant enzyme and MDA content; Biomass ,chlorophyll ,root vigor, soluble protein ,antioxidant enzyme decreased and the growth inhibited seriously with the increasing concentration of Cd2+,furthermore, and the inhibition of leaf was more serious than root; the concentration of Cd2+ which inhibited the growth when cultivating in water promoted the growth when cultivating in soil, so we could conclude soil amortized the damage of Cd2+ strongly.3.The growth and antioxidant effect of Triticum aestivum under different concentration of Zn2+ when cultivating in water and soil respectively under Cd2+ stress:The growth was greatly inhibited, plant height, biomass, root vigor, antioxidant enzyme and the content of soluble protein decreased and the content of MDA increased under very high concentration of Zn2+ when cultivating in water and soil respectively under Cd2+ stress; and the growth was promoted;plant height, biomass, root vigor, antioxidant enzyme and the content of soluble protein increased and the content of MDA decreased under certain concentration of Zn2+ when cultivating in water and soil respectively under Cd2+ stress; so we could confer certain concentration of Zn2+ could alleviate the damage of Cd2+.In general, we can add certain concentration of Zn2+ to soil which cultivate Triticum aestivum under pollution of certain concentration of Cd2+,which will bring economic and economical advantage, and is an available method to improve and make use of heavy-metal polluted soil.
