Research On The Protection And Construction Ofurban Green Lands In Downtown Areas Of Metropolis

Greenland is one of the most representative public arts in Shanghai. It reflects not only the unique face of the city but the features of integration of western and eastern culture. But ever since the grand development of landscape, its artistic quality and functionality have been fading and has fallen into inactive protection and passive construction. Nowadays, how to deal with complicated conflicts, keep and promote this city's green lands features and improve the environment admit of no delay.This paper reviews the history of Shanghai green lands development, and analyzes difficulties and its formation in a interdisciplinary view. Also, by using urban planning, landscape ecology, urban sociology, public economics, etc., learning from practical experience, it considers public participation, transformation ways, policy and Law and external economy. Then, the paper gives several suggestions and countermeasures to guide to build the research framework of green lands protection and construction in Shanghai.This article consists of five chapters. The first chapter, namely"Introduction"shows the research background, targets, theoretical meanings and possible applications as well. It also introduce the research methods and frameworks after the concepts explaining parts.The second chapter, namely"The development of green lands in central area in Shanghai", mainly looks back on the development of urban green land in Shanghai.The third chapter, namely"The difficult situation of the current protection and construction of the green lands"explains the reason behind the difficulties from the view of the society, government policy, economy, laws and regulations and the historical and cultural reservation.The fourth chapter, namely"Relevant practice and theoretical evolvement", introduced the theoretical evolvements and leanings from former experience both home and abroad, summing up with some valuable opinions on the protection and construction of Shanghai green lands.The last chapter, namely"Strategic thinking on the protection and construction of the green lands", put up with the practical aims for the protection and construction of the green lands in Shanghai. Then, it brings us with a creative strategy on the grounds of the four basic rules of the protection and construction of the green lands, prompting the realization of both the reservation of the urban green lands and the manifestation of internationalization.
