S-abscisic acid(S-ABA),a new plant growth regulator(PGR)product,has been industrialized producted in recent years and is also the last industrialized production PGR among the five kinds of PGR.So there are many potential functions need to be research and practice in its wide application. Most of the research in ABA in the past was on the growth inhibitor,in fact,the physiological activity of ABA under different concentrations is various.In the past,most of ABA used in the test is mixture,thus the results of tests are various and with poor reproducibility,but S-ABA is dextrogyrous matters with the same natural structure and function in the plants.So,such product can re-act the authenticity of the plants more directly.Cut rose is one of the four kinds of cut flowers of China,and also is one variety of the cut flowers which used to export.Recent years,the research for the preservation liquid of cut rose is working hard.S-abscisic acid(S-ABA)can be used to facilitate the plant to close the air hole automatically under the water threatening environment,so that can reduce the water evaporation.To integrate these,we use the S-abscisic acid(S-ABA)of different strengths to help to preserve the cut rose.During the test progress,through mensurating the time,the change of the diameter,the weight of the flower,chlorophyll and anthocyanin,we show that S-abscisic acid of lower strengths can prolong the flower period and keep the quality oftbe flower.In addition,the S-abscisic acid(S-ABA) of higher strengths can be used to expedite the blossoming out of the cut rose.Integrated all the data, we conclude that the best strengths of S-abscisic acid(S-ABA),which used to preserve the cut rose, is 1.0mg/L and 2.0mg/L.Now drought stress is a problem that many plants will encounter in the production and application process,also in the long-distance transportation,shelf salcs and placing.Abscisic acid in the drought stress research is becoming the focus of widespread concern;therefore the application of S-abscisic acid(S-ABA)in the plant drought stress is also worth to bc research.For potted ornamental,the high concentration of S-abscisic acid(S-ABA)use to promote the effectiveness of dormancy green plants will give certain play of its ability,in the drought stress conditions,the natural flower pot use with S-abscisic acid(S-ABA)will enter into the green dormancy period,to extend the viewing time.In this experiment,we made the usage concentration of S-abscisic acid (S-ABA)for screening studies on five potted ornamentals,The results Indicated that the best concentration of S-abscisic acid(S-ABA)on the Poinsettia(Euphorbia pulchcrrima Willd)is 250 mg/L.the best concentration of S-abscisic acid(S-ABA)on the chrysanthemum is 125 mg/L,on the Calendula is 250 mg/L,also on the Petunia and the New Guinea impatiens.The plants with different variety,family and genus have different property,so they got various sensitivities.So wc should not blindly affirm that S-abscisic acid(S-ABA)can increased the ability of anti-drought stress for all crops.
