Project "Green NJ" Performance Evaluation

Project"Green Nanjing"has made great progress after implementation in September, 2002, with great increase in coverage of forest and green, and area of common green land average per person. The project not only sets up the"Green City"figure for Nanjing, but also improves the environment in Nanjing.However, what are the real effects of"Green Nanjing"project in prompting comprehensive and harmonious development of society, economy and environment? Is there any difference from the established aim? How to consummate it in the future implementation? Above questions are the springboard of this study and the research content is stated as follows:1. Review the related theories of urban forest, efficiency of urban forest, urban forestry, coordinated development and construct evaluative indicators system of urban forest.2. Describe the actuality of"Green Nanjing"project by abundant data and make analysis on the original data by SPSS in regression and forecast. Ascertain the effects of the project by comparing predicted result with established aim.3. Establish evaluative indicators system of"Green Nanjing"project, calculate the weight of indicators by K.J and Delphi method, based on the collected data; According to evaluating purpose, determine the calculation method of index value and construct hierarchical structure model.4. Comment on the effects of"Green Nanjing"project in promoting harmonious development of Nanjing in society, economy and environment in these 5 years by constructed evaluative indicators system and hierarchical structure model of"Green Nanjing"project. Besides, make a further analysis on the evaluating results and explain the major reasons which influence the project's effects.5. Explore the major problems of"Green Nanjing"project on the results of actuality analysis and project's evaluation. Moreover, some counter measures are suggested to polish the"Green Nanjing"project and after reference in raising the validity and durative of this project by consulting the advanced experience in some cities at home and abroad.
