Study On The Germplasm And Materials Of Agropyron Cristatum And Selection Of Strains

Agropyron cristatum belong to Agropyron Triticeae in Gramineae. Its forage value was high because of the soft straw, palatability and nutrition, as the perennial, arid-tolerantgrass. Wheatgrass had strong adaptation and resistance to the extreme environment. The wheatgrass resources in China were abundant, but the evaluation and genetics research on them were limited. Therefore, we collect the wild wheatgrass germplasm material in Inner Mongolian areas that the most of wheatgrass distributed. Research of the plant characteristic, biomass, fertile ability, root system, drought resistance and growth developmental mechanism of 15 Agropyron cristatum germplasm and materials. The results showed that No.9 and No.14 drought resistance are strong in 15 Agropyron cristatum germplasm and materials. No.14 may serve as the cultivation economic animal's germplasm resources because it ground biomass is the biggest; No.9 may serve as windproof solid ecological protection germplasm resources, conservation of water and soil and so on,because it is the biggest of single seed yield and it fertile ability is good.
