In order to study the effect of high density ensilaging techniques on the fermentation quality of the silage, eight combination (alfalfa,smooth bromegrass,alfalfa + smooth bromegrass,alfalfa +corn flour,alfalfa + smooth bromegrass+ corn flour,smooth bromegrass + corn flour +urea,cornstalk and cornstalk + corn flour +urea) were used in this experiment. Each combination was given three treatment-high density ensilaging,conventional ensilaging and high density blocking.The result showed that:1.Compared with the conventional ensilaging, high density ensilaging had lower pH (P<0.05),except alfalfa,smooth bromegrass,alfalfa + smooth bromegrass+ corn flour groups.High density ensilaging had higher production of lactic acid than that of conventional ensilaging but only smooth bromegrass,smooth bromegrass+ corn flour +urea groups reached the significant point(P<0.05).High density ensilaging had lower concentration of NH3-N than that of conventional ensilaging but the significant difference existed in alfalfa,cornstalk,alfalfa + smooth bromegrass and smooth bromegrass+ corn flour +urea groups(P<0.05).2.Compared with the conventional ensilaging, high density ensilaging had higher DM content than that of conventional ensilaging (P<0.05),except alfalfa + smooth bromegrass and cornstalk + corn flour +urea groups.3. Compared with conventional ensilaging, high density ensilaging had higher WSC content than that of conventional ensilaging. but only smooth bromegrass+ alfalfa+ corn flour,cornstalk,cornstalk + corn flour +urea groups reached the significant point(P<0.05).The differences of CP content between high density ensilaging and conventional ensilaging did not reached the significant point. The differences of ADF,NDF content between high density ensilaging and conventional ensilaging did not reached the significant point,except alfalfa + smooth bromegrass+ corn flour group.4. The high density ensilaging had lower DM content than that of high density blocking (P<0.05), except alfalfa group. Alfalfa + corn flour,alfalfa+ smooth bromegrass+ corn flour silage with high density had lower CP content than that of high density blocking (P<0.05).The high density ensilaging had lower NDF content than that of high density blocking,but the significant difference existed in alfalfa group (P<0.05). The high density ensilaging had lower ADF content than that of high density blocking except alfalfa group.but the significant difference existed in alfalfa + corn flour,alfalfa+ smooth bromegrass+ corn flour groups (P<0.05).
