The soil physical characteristics and soil water pynamics of oinus tabuleaformis plantation were studied solar slope of Daqing mountain. the results showed that:(1)the thickness of the soil layer was 30~90cn, the soil gravel content was 50.18%~71.71% in surface layer. which was 46.55%~69.19% in A layer, 38.63%~73.69% in B layer and 44.48%~71.13% in C layer.(2)The volume weight increased with the increase of soil depth , the soil total porosity, maximum water holding capacity and field capacity decreased with the increase of soil depth. The volume weight, the soil total porosity, the maximum water holding capacity and field capacity was 1.25g/cm3~1.32g/cm3, 49.92%~52.71%, 30.81%~36.28% and 19.0%~24.42% respectively when the density of plant was between 2421stubs/hm2 and 3116 stubs/hm2. The volume weight of the plant was lower, the higher the soil total porosity, the maximum water holding capacity and field capacity.The soil staturated hydraulic conductivity increased as the stand density increased in 20cm , 40cm , 60cm soil depth, when the density of plant was between 2421~3116stubs/hm2 and its value was higher the other density of plant of the soil staturated hydraulic conductivity.(3) When the density of plant was 2421~3116 stubs/hm2: the soil water content between surface and 60cm layer was 7.23%~10.97% in the initial growing phase(April-May) and 9.0%~11.82%in latter growing phase(August-sept.). which the soil water content between surface and 60cm layer gradually increase following the increase of soil depth and the density of plant.
