B.zhejiangensis Wang was a new bamboo pest in Fujian province.The insect caused disaster in some areas in the city of Shaowu and Shunchang counties(cities),Nanping city, Fujian province in 2001.The insects have extended to Jianou,Jianyang,Yanping,Wuyishan, Guangze and Shaxian counties(cities)with the rapid expansion of bamboo since 2005,and was an important pest in bamboo-producing areas of Fujian Province.The disaster area was more than 16,000 hm2.The study on the bamboo pest- B.zhejiangensis Wang focused on the the systematic observation and biological and ecological characteristics.The development of its occurrence,provided scientific basis for prevention and treatment work.By screening the best use of the insecticides and application methods,laid foundation for chemical control of forest.1.Biological characteristics of B.zhejiangensis Wang.B.zhejiangensis Wang completes one generation each year in Shaowu Fujian province, mainly larvae damaged bamboo shoots,including sprouting and winter bamboo shoots.Larvae appears in the fist ten days of November,began borring adventitious root of bamboo shoots in the period of early November to early February next year.In Mid-March to early April,larvae appeared in large numbers and concentrated around bamboo shoots,or termited damage.According to surveys of single shoot borers,maximum number was 14.The peak of pupation was found from early April to early May.Pupae began to mergence in mid April. Female adult emergence and laid eggs in the same day.Female adults laid eggs on many occasions;one female laid 23-806 grain of eggs,the average number eggs by single female is 527.Adult male live about 5-7 d,the adult female live about 4-8 d.2.The ecological characteristic of B.zhejiangenis Wang2.1 The relationship between occurrence and environmental conditions of of B.zhejiangenis Wang' s larvaeApplication of variance analysis,studied the relationship between factors such as different bamboo,bamboo structure,slope,aspect,humus thickness,woodland factors health status and the occurrence of B.zhejiangensis Wang.The results showed that bamboo,bamboo structure,slope, aspect of the changes in B.zhejiangensis obvious effected no significant difference.Humus soil thickness and the changes in forest had significant effect on B.zhejiangensis Wang. 2.2 The relationship between occurrence of B.zhejiangensis Wang and the soilResearch showed that B.zhejiangensis Wang' s larvae prefered to bat habitat in the more acidic soil;B.zhejiangensis Wang prefer black loam better than yellow and red loam.;in the soil of a high content of organic matter and total N,there are more larvae;The available P and total K of the Bamboo soil had no significant impact to the damage of B.zhejiangensis larvae.2.3 The study of spatial distribution pattern of B.zhejiangensis WangApplication of the fitness card side(X2)fit test aggregated indices method,regression analysised methods such as focusing on the spatial distribution of the B.zhejiangensis Wang' s larvae and conducted investigations into the conduction of research.The results showed that, The spatial distribution patterns of B.zhejiangensis Wang larvae was congregating distribution.In the bamboo forest in the spatial distribution of both aggregation of distribution,and the basic ingredients of distribution are individual groups,individual and mutual attract with each other. Iwao is used to determine the optimum number of sampling theory and the best sampling methods.3 The control experiment of B.zhejiangensis Wang's larvae.3.1 Indoor drug test effective of B.zhejiangensis Wang's larvaeIndoor drug effective test of B.zhejiangensis Wang' s larvae took two approaches - directly sprayed and sprayed by Pharmacy Turning.Mortality nalysis of larvae's hepialu correction variance showed that there was not significant difference between the two treatments.Research showed that only 63.1%kill.Su WF,larvae's corrected mortality was 78%,median lethal time LT50was only 3d,far better than other four kinds of biological preparation.3.2 The control experiment of B.zhejiangensis Wang's larvae in bamboo forest.Dealing with various different types of Pharmacy concentration of the larvae had a certain effect.Particularly effects of shallow turned + pesticides on the larvae was the best,up more than 90.9%,effect of using shallow(no pesticides)for the treatment was up 81.9%,control method of using light pruning +pesticide or weeding + pesticide reached 63.6%-72.7%.
