Urban soil is one kind of special soil which developed from natural original soil under the the process of urbanazition. Compared with the natural soils, the physical, chemical and biological properties of the urban soil have occured significant changes. In the process of human activities, with the changes of the amount of microorganism in the soil gradually, the amount and distribution of the soil organic carbon and microbial biomass carbon had changed. There is a strong correlation between the effect and influence of human activities and soil enzyme activities.We collected soil samples from the different types of green-lands within the Fuzhou city, and analyzed the basic soil properties, soil organic carbon, microbial carbon and enzyme activities. The results showed that pH value of the man-manipulated urban green-lands had a large spatial variability, and was higher than that of the natural green-lands. Compared with the urban natural green-lands, soil total nitrogen contents in the urban man-manipulated green-lands in the surface horizon was lower. The distributions of soil organic carbon in Fuzhou city was differnent between the sampling plots, the contents of the soil organic carbon of most sampling plots in the man-manipulated green-lands increased, only litter parts decreased. There existed a significantly positive correlation between the dissolved organic carbon and soil organic carbon and total nitrogen in the surface horizon. The spatial variability of the microbial biomass carbon in the man- manipulated green-lands was bigger than that of the urban natural green-lands, which showed that the microbial activity was instable. The spatial distribution of the soil enzyme activity of the green lands soil in Fuzhou city have had a great diversity, the soil Catalase activity in the profiles didn't present a special regularity, the soil urease activity decreased with the increase of soil depth.
