The Acute Viral Necrotic Virus from scallop Chlamys farreri has been confirmed that it is a pathogen that can cause a great harm. For preventing and controlling the disease in the Aquaculture production, establishing a healthy culture model and developing healthy offspring, it is important and necessary to research the vertical transmission. Because the offspring of the scallop Chlamys farreri come mainly from natural seedlings by half artificial seeding from culture area, it is hard to distinguish the one to one correspondence relationship of parental scallop, egg, juvenile and juvenile mollusk. So the article artificially controls the correspondence relationship between parental scallop and next generation by artificial seed of scallop in doors. At the same time, this article uses the method of indirect ELISA to detect the samples qualitatively. The methods of IFA and Electron microscope are used to detect the samples localizedly. The study put the parental scallops into the separate breeding waters, then spawning, hatching, and cultivating larvae. According to the artificial spring and autumn seed of scallop in doors, from the forty separate breeding waters, 23 parental scallops, 23 eggs, 12 spermoviums, D larvae and shell young, 2 eyebot larvae are obtained. At the same time, parental scallops, eggs and the larvae with different development phases from the artificial nursery of scallop are also obtained. By means of the detection system of indirect ELISA that detect AVNV which has been established, the paper detect the parental scallops, eggs and the larvae with different development phase, and discusses that if it has the possibility of vertical transmission. The consult of detection shows that the viruses can be detected in the gonad of the parental scallops, but it can not be detected in the eggs, spermoviums, D larvae, shell young, eyebot larvae. So the possibility of vertical transmission is small. This conclusion need be confirmed by localized detection. For confirming the result of detection of the indirect ELISA, the method of IFA is used to detect the ovaries of scallop Chlamys farreri that are injected by virus. By the method of electron microscope, the ovaries of scallop Chlamys farreri that are injected by virus, the ovaries of scallop Chlamys farreri which come from epidemic-stricken area and the ovaries of scallop Chlamys farreri that are collected by artificial seed of scallop in doors are observed. The result found that the viruses are observed in the gonad of the scallop Chlamys farreri. But the infection position of virus mainly distribute in the exosporium of the reproduction tubule which makes up of the gonad. The oogoniums are produced by inside germinal epithelium. That may be show the particle of viruses can't infect the oocytes. By the method of electron microscope, the viruses are not observed in the larvae with different development phases. Three results of detection can confirm that AVNV can infect the gonad of scallop Chlamys farreri, but it maybe does not have the route of vertical transmission.
