Cloning And Sequence Analysis Of CDNA Fragments Of Sorbitol Transporters SND Sorbitol Dehydrogenase From Apple Leaf

Sorbitol Sorbitol is the major photosynthetic product,translocating sugar alcohol and storage carbohydrate in Rosaceae plants, the role sorbitol played is like sucrose in other plants. Transporters is a key enzyme for the transportation of sorbitol in Rosaceae plants.At First, RNA was extracted and separated from the fresh leaves of Royal Gala apple (Malus pumila Mill cv. Royal Gala), primers were designed according to conserved regions of reported in many species. A ban of 581 bp was obtained by RT-PCR. The sequence analysis showed that 92%~95% identity in nucleotide sequence and 77~78% identity in amino acid sequence to that the apple and other plants was observed.
