This article, by model insect of Spodoptera litura(Fabricius), researched field application technology of sex pheromone trap and pest resistance of rape induced by Spodoptera litura(Fabricius). The main results was followed. The effects of the height of and the distance between traps with sex peromone, and the weather factors were determined on the trapping efficiency of the traps to Spodoptera litura Fabricius. The result demonstrated a higher trapping efficiency of the traps when they were placed at 1 m above the ground, which were obviously higher than at 0.5 or 1.5 m. The best distance between traps was 25 m at which the traps showed higher efficiency than 10, 15 or 20 m apart. There was a significant influence of the wind direction at night on the trapping efficiency. The upwind, first trap among the three traps in line attracted more moths than the others; meanwhile, the traps paralleling with the direction of the wind at night trapped more adults of S. litura Fabricius than the traps being vertical to the wind direction.JA content in oil-seed rape leaves damaged by S. litura larva was the highest at the fourth hour after treatment. JA content in upper leaves above treated leaf position was higher than that in treated leaves and leaves under treated leaf position with the trend of upward conductance. After mechanical damage, JA content in leaves with salivary treatment was not significantly different from water treatment. PI content in leaves treated with 75μg/20μL MeJA was the highest and for all treatment, PI content was the highest at the fifth day after treatment with the whole trend of increase. PI content in plantlets damaged by the larva increased significantly and was far higher than machinical damage. PI content in plantlets was also the highest at the fifth day afer treatment, showing the whole trend of increase with lengthening of days.Different sampling point in one plant showed the trend of upward PI conductance. The weight of S. litur larva, 0.067g, fed on the plant after three days which was treated with MeJA for nine days differed very significantly from blank control and solvent control , and was 68% of blank control and 72% of solvent control. The weight of the larva in blank control was not significantly different from solvent control.
