Under the different indoor environment,the plants with the function of nitrogen fixation and oxygen release,transpired water release,absorbed caloric,bacteriostatic action,depollution were significant.The 8 speceis Cordyline terminalis,Schefflera octophylla,Adiantum capillus-veneris,Neottopteris nidus,Guzmania lingulata,Calathea picturata,Calathea zebrine and Zebrina pendula were studied on the effects of their improving the environment.1.Based on the dynamic light distribute,temperature and humidity of air indoor,4 representational light circumstance indoor as the experimental district were selected.Under the different environment,the abilbity of nitrogen fixation and oxygen release,transpired water release,absorbed caloric of different foliage plants by Li-6400 Portable Photosynthesis System were studied.The results were as follows.(1) The fact of nitrogen fixation and oxygen release:When light intensity was 945~13733 lx,the amount of daily nitrogen fixation was 0.92~1.41 g·m-2·d-1 and the amount of plants' daily oxygen release was 0.67~1.03 g·m-2·d-1.Cordyline terminalis was the most,Calathea zebrine was the least.When light intensity was 3002~11342 lx,they were 1.33~1.98 g·m-2·d-1 and 0.97~1.44 g·m-2·d-1,which were more than others.When light intensity was 2112~27856 lx,they were 0.93~2.08 g·m-2·d-1 and 0.67~1.51 g·m-2·d-1.Calathea picturata was the most,Adiantum capillus-veneris was the least.When light intensity was 115~560 lx,they were 0.18~0.38 g·m-2·d-1 and 0.13~0.27 g·m-2·d-1, which were the least.(2) The facts of transpired water released and absorbed caloric of 8 species plants: the amount of transpired water release of Calathea zebrine,Calathea picturata,Guzmania lingulata,Adiantum capillus-veneris were the most when light intensity was 3002~11342 lx.Neottopteris nidus,Schefflera octophylla,Cordyline terminalis were the most when light intensity.was 2112~27856 lx.Zebrina pendula was the most when light intensity was 945~13733 lx.When light intensity was 945~13733 lx,the amount of daily transpired water release was 138.50~1012.57 g·m-2·d-1,Calathea zebrine was the most, Guzmania lingulata was the least.When light intensity was 3002~11342 lx,it was 223.36~1378.31 g·m-2·d-1,Calathea zebrine was the most,and Guzmania lingulata was the least.When light intensity was 2112~27856 lx,it was 194.24~1100.23 g·m-2·d-1, Calathea zebrine is the most,Zebrina pendula and Guzmania lingulata were the least. When light intensity was 115~560 lx,it was 104.39~618.38g·m-2·d-1,and Guzmania lingulata was the least.2.The ability of volatile secretion bacteriostasis by method of indoor dipping in water were studied.The results were as follows.The volatile secretion from Schefflera octophylla had the strongest inhibition on Staphylococus aureus,the rate of bacteriostasis was 39.45%,Calathea zebrine had the strongest inhibition on Psudomanas aeruginosa,the rate of bacteriostasis was 58.56%, Calathea zebrine had the strongest inhibition on Escherichia coli,the rate of bacteriostasis was 56.10%.3.The effect of absorbing formaldehyde of the 8 species were studied by fumigating. The contents of formaldehyde were identified by GB/T118204.The change in the plants physiology index sign,such as electric conductivity rate,chlorophyll and MDA were surveyed as follows simultaneously.Adiantum capillus-veneris with high ability of absorbing formaldehyde in accordance with unit leaf area was the best of the selected plants,the second ones were Scheffiera octophylla,Zebrina pendula,Calathea zebrine,Neottopteris nidus,Calathea picturata, Guzmania lingulata and Cordyline terminalis.The chlorophyll content decreased,the activity of peroxides and MDA increased remarkably were measured with spectrophotometry,except Calathea picturata,Cordyline terminalis and Zebrina pendula. In conclusion,the effects of absorbing formaldehyde of Zebrina pendula was the best one of the selected plants,the second ones were Adiantum capillus-veneris,Calathea picturata, Calathea zebrine and Schefflera octophylla.
