Distribution Of Organic Carbon In Purple Paddy Soils

By the analysis of physicochemical properties of soil and the analysis of variance of correlation,the paper have studied the distribution characteristic,density of soil organic carbon and their correlation with soil physics and chemistry character of purple paddy in Mid-Sichuan Hilly Regionr have discussed the correlativity of varieties of SOC and their correlativity with soil physics and chemistry properties.The result studying is indicated:(1)Under the effect of Parent Materials and soil moisture condition,the contents of paddy soil organic carbon derived from J2Z,J2S and J3S show the different content characteristic:In Topsoil,the content characteristic of Submergic paddy soil is J2Z>J3S>J2S, the content characteristic of Percogenic paddy soil is J2S>J3S>J2Z,the content characteristic of Gleyed paddy soil is J3S>J2S>J2Z;In profile soils,the content characteristic of Submergic paddy is J2Z>J2S>J3S,but in Percogenic paddy soil and Gleyed paddy soil,the contents of SOC have complete contrary phenomenon to Submergic paddy and the content characteristic is J3S>J2S>J2Z.The variance analysis to the content of SOC in profile soils indicates that under several different Parent Materials,the difference between Submergic paddy soil is distinct,but in Percogenic paddy soil and Gleyed paddy soil,the difference is not distinct.(2) Under the effect of Parent Materials and soil moisture condition,the contents of LOC derived from three different Parent Materials show the different content characteristic: In Topsoil,the all content characteristic of TLOC,ILOC and HLOC in Submergic paddy soil is J2Z>J3S>J2S,the content characteristic of TLOC in Percogenic paddy soil is J3S>J2Z>J2S,but the content characteristic of ILOC and HLOC in Percogenic paddy soil is J3S>J2S>J2Z,the content characteristic of TLOC and ILOC in Gleyed paddy soil is J2S>J3S>J2Z, but the content characteristic of HLOC in Gleyed paddy soil is J3S>J2S>J2Z,In profile soils, the content characteristic of TLOC,ILOC,HLOC in Submergic paddy soil is J2Z>J2S>J3S,the content characteristic of TLOC and HLOC in Percogenic paddy soil is J3S>J2Z>J2S,but the content characteristic of ILOC in Percogenic paddy soil is J3S>J2S>J2Z,the all content characteristic of TLOC,ILOC and HLOC in Gleyed paddy soil is J3S>J2S>J2Z.The variance analysis to the content of LOC in profile soils indicates that under several different Parent Materials,the difference between Submergic paddy soil is significantly distinct,the difference between Percogenic paddy soil is distinct,but the difference between Gleyed paddy soil is not distinct.(3) Under the effect of Parent Materials and soil moisture condition,the contents of Humic C derived from three different Parent Materials show the different content characteristic:In Topsoil,the content characteristic of Humic C in Submergic paddy soil is J2Z>J2S>J3S,the content characteristic of Humic C in Percogenic paddy soil is J2S>J2Z>J3S, the content characteristic of Humic C in Gleyed paddy soil is J2Z>J2S>J3S,In profile soils, the content characteristic of Humic C in Submergic paddy soil and in Percogenic paddy soil is J2Z>J2S>J3S,but the content characteristic of Humic C in Gleyed paddy soil is J3S>J2S>J2Z.The variance analysis to the content of Humic C in profile soils indicates that under several different Parent Materials,the difference between Submergic paddy soil is significantly distinct,but in Percogenic paddy soil and Gleyed paddy soil,the difference is not distinct.(4) There are significant relevance between Varieties of SOC contents(TOC,Humic C,LOC).(5) The average density of SOC of different paddy soil type in topsoil and in profile soils as following:the density of SOC in Gleyed paddy soil is the highest,height amounts to 4.19 kg C/m2 and 18.77 kg C/m2;The Percogenic paddy soil takes second place,for 3.53 kg C/m2 and 16.69 kg C/m2;and Submergic paddy soil has the lowest density of SOC,for 3.11 kg C/m2 and 12.04 kg C/m2.(6) Varieties of SOC contents are very significantly positive related to soil total nitrogen(TN)(p<0.01);TOC,HLOC,ILOC and TLOC were very significantly(p<0.01)or significantly(p<0.05)positive related to soil aggregation degree,but the correlation between Humic C and soil aggregation degree is not significant;TOC,ILOC were very significantly(p<0.01)or significantly(p<0.05)positive related to CS,but the correlation between Humic C,HLOC,TLOC and CS is not significant;Varieties of SOC contents are very significantly negative related to bulk density(p<0.01);In general, Humic C is very significantly negative related to pH(p<0.01),but the correlation between TOC,HLOC,ILOC,TLOC and pH is not significant,and there are difference in different Parent Materials;the correlation between the content of TOC,Humic C,HLOC, ILOC,TLOC and the content of soil clay particles,the ration of clay particle and granule is not distinct.
