Sweet cherry has a high nutrition value and economic benefit. It is a common fruit tree grown and has an increase in area these years. However, it is sensitive to the waterlogging which can bring big losses to the growth and production. As a result, the research on the remidy measurres of cherry and mechanism has important value of theory and practical significance.Nitric oxide is a plant growth regulation material which participates in the growth, development, disease resistance and stress resistance. The research based on the material of meizao/daqingye had been done and studied the activity of SOD,POD,CAT, root respiratory strength, content of ROS, function leaf photosynthesis, chlorophyll content, endogenous hormone content and ultrastructure of roots. The results are as follows:(1)External application of NO can improve photosynthesis rate of leaves, transpiration rate, stomata conductance and chlorophyll content. At the same time it also can increase the content of proline and decrease the concentration of CO2 and release rate of O2-. after waterlog..(2)External application of NO can improve activity of defence enzymes. After one day and three days, the activity of SOD increase 11.9%,11.2%,respectively, activity of POD increase 39.2%,91.2% and CAT 28.5%,16.7%,respectively. The content of proline increases 34.4%,20.1%,respectively. And after nine days, all the indexes reached the common level.(3) External application of NO can decrease the release rate of O2-. and the content of H2O2 and MDA. After one day and three days, the release rate of O2-. decreased 4.7%,3.5%,respectively,H2O2 decreased 36.8%,32.5%,respectively and MDA decreased 21.4%,48.7%,respectively. And after nine days, all the indexes reached the common level.(4) External application of NO can improve the root respiratory strength. And after one day and three days, it incresed 20.6%,53.3% respectively.(5) In the recovery, external application of NO improve the content of GA,IAA,ZR, and decrease the content of ETH. After one day,ABA is higher than CK,but with the elongation of time, it is lower than CK and after ninth day hormones reached common level.(6) Waterlogging made the membrane break but NO could recover the membrane.
