This research studied on turf quality and technique of the maintenance management on summer time about creeping bentgrass,which were Pencross and Yuexuan No 1, new variety of Agrostis stolonifera Yuexuan No 2,Yuexuan No 3,Yuexuan No 5,1601, 1603-1, 1614-1, 1301, 1304, 5607,5303. The field experiment was performed in Guangzhou where the environment was hot and humid.And the good ones were selected to make physiological-biochemical characteristics experiment. The comprehensive evaluation of green turf quality was performed in hot and humid environment through Analytia1 Hierarchy Process,using six evaluative indexes that were the density,the degree of cover,the color,texture, uniformity,the heat tolerance and the disease resistance.The results showed that:1. The morphological characteristics of the new Agrostis stolonif era L. Line putting turf was observed and the results is follows: compared with the Penncross,the characters of Yuexuan No 1 with the compact turf, texture,bright colour,short internode,slender stem and small leaf,short sheath were better than the Penncross. Compared with the Penncross,the leaf of Yuexuan No 2 is shorter and wider,the sheath shorter, the internode shorter, the erection stem thickseter, and its morphological characteristics is similar to the Penncross. The morphological characteristics of Yuexuan No 3 is similar to the Yuexuan No 1,except that its color is lighter than Yuexuan No 1.2. According to The comprehensive evaluation of green turf quality from the four months,it can be seen that the quality of the 12 creeping bentgrass from high to low were Yuexuan No 3, Yuexuan No 5,1301,1304,1614-1, Yue xuan No 1, 5303 ,5607,1601,1603-1, Yuexuan No2,Pencross respectively. The new variety was secelected from the clone of older green turf. The green turf's density, the chlorophyll content, texture, uniformity,the heat tolerance and the disease resistance of new variety were better than Pencross in summer.3. On 40℃heat stress, the water content, activity of roots and chlorophyll content in leaves of creeping bentgrass were decressing. But the proline content wasincressing.At the same time, the chlorophyll content and proline conten in leaves of newvariety were better than its primitive variety.On 40℃heat stress, the leaves'Mortality Rate of new variety incressed significantly at the 3th day oh heat stress. At the 4th day, all of the varieties died. Identificated the heat toleranceof plant based on the membrane permeability after the heat stress. The sequence from low to high was No.35 ,Pencross ,Yuexuan No. 5 , Yuexuan No. 1 , 1614-1, Yuexuan No. 3, No38.[0]In a word, the heat tolerance of Yuexuan No 3, Yuexuan No 5, 1301, 1304, 1614-1 was better than Yuexuan No 1,fitting for planted in hot and humid environment. In other wise,The new varieties which were 5303, A5607, 1601, 1603-1, Yuexuan No 2 worse than Yuexuan No 1,not fitting for planted in wet aera.The extention of Yuexuan No 1 and some new varieties could solve problems like winter-green,and realize evergreen of turf grass1614-1, 1301, 1304, Yuexuan No 3, Yuexuan No 5, Yuexuan No 1have great evergreen characters and well tolerence of hot and humid,stable adaptability,which can be extended in golf courses of south part in China.
