Study On Salt Resistance Of Some Daylily

Abstract/Summary:
Daylily is a beautiful flower, is widely used in the greening. With the aim of providing simple and applied methods for the identification of Daylily's salt resistance, and offering scientific basis for the application of Daylily in saline area, seven species and cultivars of Daylily were used as materials in this study, and couple of indexes, such as the relations between the salt resistance and the appearance, leaf anatomic structures, physiological and biochemical changes under salt treatment, were studied. The main results were shown as follows:1.The salt endangerment degree is different among every species below the different salt stress treatment, The results of variance analysis indicates that the salt endangerment degrees are remarkable difference Daylily species , and the Daylily species is exceedingly remarkable difference with the different salt stress treatment. The results of analysis indicates :The relative dry weight of Daylily species has difference, Hemerocallis middendorffi Tralltv.et Me > Hemerocallis fulva var.rosea > Hemerocallis fulva var. floreplen > Hemerocallis fulva 'Stella de Oro' > Hemerocallis citrin > Hemerocallis plicata Stapf > Hemerocallis 'Little bumble bee'.2.Observations of Dalily's appearance and leaf anatomy indicated that: The leaf of Hemerocallis 'Little bumble bee' is small and thin, the number of its stomata is the most and the area of its stomata is the least in the 7 materials. The leaf of Hemerocallis fulva var.rosea and Hemerocallis middendorffi Tralltv.et Me is big and dense, the number of its stomata is small and the area of its stomata is large.3.The results of Daylily's photosynthetic system in salt stress indicate: changes in the rate of net photosynthetic rate, Trmmol and the stomata conductance to H2O of Hemerocallis 'Little bumble bee' large than Hemerocallis middendorffi Tralltv.et Me4.The results of Daylily's osmotic adjustment substance in salt stress indicate: changes in the rate of proline content , soluble sugar content of Hemerocallis middendorffi Tralltv.et Me larger than Hemerocallis 'Little bumble bee', but changes in the rate of Na+ content smaller than Hemerocallis 'Little bumble bee'.5.With increasing concentration of NaCl, membrane relative permeability and MDA content increased, the change of POD, CAT, SOD are different, and the changes in the rate of Hemerocallis middendorffi Tralltv.et Me larger than Hemerocallis 'Little bumble bee',6.The primary component analysis indicates: Several Daylily material virtually the same as the first principal component, including Injury index, The root activity, Na+ content, membrane relative permeability, proline, CAT, Net photosynthetic rate, The stomata conductance to H2O, Transpiration rate, Vapor pressure based on Leaf temp, MDA;7.Measuring , and utilize the fuzzifying mathematics membership function law to endure the salt rating to four kinds of species, and the result of rating makes known that the 4 speciess is endureing salt is : Hemerocallis middendorffi Tralltv.et Me > Hemerocallis fulva var.rosea > Hemerocallis fuava > Hemerocallis 'Little bumble bee'8.Making system cluster analysis of slat tolerance by the centroid clustering , the result of analysis indicate : First types are Hemerocallis middendorffi Tralltv.et Me , which can adapt to the taller salt stress degree and is the van greening plant species in saline land ; Second types are Hemerocallis fulva var.rosea , which has common salt tolerance and is harmful to grow under taller salt stress ;The third type is Hemerocallis fulva 'Stella de Oro' and Hemerocallis 'Little bumble bee' ,which is comparatively feebleer to salt tolerance and does not grow on high salt concentration saline land.
