Cryptosporidisis is one of the worldwild distributed parasitic disease which infects people and animals together.Cryptosporidium can cause human and animals acute diarrhea, make more serious harm to human and the animals with immunity defects, and is one of the major cause of HIV-positive persons death in China. In 2003 year, this disease was classified as one of the two kinds of important parasitic disease that should be prevented in China. In the last 20 years, cryptosporidium was studied and made a lot of important achievements in many respects such as biological pathogens, epidemiology, immunology, molecular biology, diagnosis and control technology, etc; However, the effective drug for disease treatment had not been recognized yet,The main reason is that the pathogenesis of it has not been indentified so far.The situation of the cow Cryptosporidium infection was detected in a dairy farm of Hefei city. The positive cows infected strongly were selected and their immune function,anti-oxidation system and free radicals, enzymes and inorganic ions, etcs were implored to understand the pathogenesis of Cryptosporidiosis,so as to prevent and cure the disease effectively.Three hundred and twenty-five fecal samples were detected by two methods respectively, namely, acid dye wtih gold amine phenol and floating with saturation white sugar,in which 88 positive cows were found by acid dye wtih gold amine phenoland, the infection rate was 27.08%,103 positive cows were found by floating with saturation white sugar, the infection rate was 31.69%,The strain intentified as Cryptosporidium muris after observing its size and oral index, ect.Even though all ages of cows can be infected with Cryptosporidium, infection was different among ages;Youth and adult beef cattle infection rate was significantly lower than that of calves(P<0.05),but no significant difference between youth and adult beef cattle wre found(P>0.05);The intensity of Cryptosporidium infection was different among infected cows,Calves' infection intensity was lowest, while adult's was highest.Seven positive infected cows were taken as treatment group, the other healthy cows were taken radomly at the same diary farm.Blood serum was collected for following detection.Narmly Immune Function indicator,Total Protein(TP),Albumin(ALB), Immunoglobulin(IgG,IgM,IgA),the lymphocyte transformation rates, macrophage activitities, the contents of interleukin-2(IL-2),Serum antioxidant system and free radicals mesurements Superoxide dismutase(SOD),Glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px),MDA and NO,Enzymes and other biological indicators,namely(ALT/GPT),(AST/GOT),ALP,GLU,TG,Cl- and Ca2+.The results showed that:Compared with the control group, the concentration and activity of TP,ALB,IgM,ALT,AST,ALP,TG,Cl- and Ca2+ in treatment group had no significant change,While the contents or activities of IgG,IgA,the lymphocyte transformation rates, macrophage activitities,interleukin-2(IL,2),SOD,MDA,NO and GLU were raised significantly(P<0.05) or much more significantly(P<0.01).This suggests that the cows are easily infected with Cryptosporidium when its immunity is defect or low,and its antioxidant enzyme activity and the ability to eliminate free radicals is worse resulting in increased levels of free radicals,The content of ALT,AST,ALP,TG,CL had no significant change(P>0.05),While the contents of GLU,Ca2+ reduce ignificantly(P<0.05).In a word, the result of investigatis of pathogenesis cow cryptosporidium made a basement for preventing and curing of Cryptosporidisis for this dairy farm,by detecting the immune function,anti-oxidation system and other indicators in the future, such as enzymes of Cryptosporidium infected cows, further clarified the pathogenic mechanism of Cryptosporidium.
