Tibetan chicken is an original indigenous breed with small body size and has the most quantity,the most widely range and special genetic character in the Tibetan plateau of Chin,the basis of molecular genetic foundation was providing for protecting and Development and Utilization of the costful breed resource,and unsterstang the real genetic realationship 19 microsatellite locus were used to analyze the genetic diversity of Tibetan chicken population.The genetic variations between and within the populations coming from four different places(Lasa Linzhi Rikeze Sannan) of Tibet were calculated polymorphism information content(PIC), heterozygosity(H),f-statistics and Nei's genetic distance and UPGMA.All loci detected in the study showed that the number of alleles was 98,ranged from 2 to 8 in total populations with mean value 5.2 per locus.Effective number of alleles ranged from 1.3~6.4 in total populations with mean value 3.9 per locus,PIC were from 0.2232 to 0.8231 and H from 0.2568 to 0.8460 with mean values 0.6151 and 0.6943.these suggest that there are abundance genetic diversity in Tibetan chicken populationHigh polymorphism and heterozygosity were found in the four populations,the number of allelesranged from 2 to 8 in total populations with mean value 4.6~4.9 per locus.Effective number of alleles ranged from 1.4~6.8 in total populations with mean value 3.4~3.9per locus,PIC and H were 0.5980 and 0.6541from rikaze Tibetan chicken population were lower than PIC and H were 0.6330 and 0.6878from linzhi Tibetan chicken population,and Most of these loci were not at Hardy— Weinberg equilibrium.the genetic variance within the population was observed by the map of cluster with UPGMA method according to the Nei standard genetic distance, Analysis in the study showed that the genetic relationship between rikeze chicken and lasa chicken was the nearer,and the same as between linzhi chicken and shannan chicken.The study provides some clue for conservation and utilization of Tibetan chicken in the future.
