Earthworm is an important ecological factor in land ecosystem.Study about its influence on plant mainly went through the course as follow:early research believed that the activity of earthworm in soil could ameliorate soil configuration,accelerate organic matter decomposition and activate nutrient,thus benefit roots growth,plant development and high yield of crop.With deeper study,the phenomena that inoculating earthworm into soil could make seed germinate ahead,increase root biomass,accelerate plant growth and development,and even change morphology of plant were observed in many experiments. These phenomena cannot be explained by variation of nutrient content and soil configuration simply.Father research focused on the direction of earthworm cast or interreaction of earthworm and microbe and the results indicated that inoculating earthworm could enhance the content of biological activated substances in base material and then lead to the variation in both roots development and stems growth.However,There were few reports about whether biological activated substances extracted directly from living earthworm body could affact the growth and development of plants or not.Taking coelomic fluid secreted by earthworm(Eisenia foetida) under stimulation of heat as experimental material and using solution culture and sand culture method as main methods of plant incubation,my research studied effect of earthworm coelomic fluid of different concentration on germination of seed of mung bean,wheat and tomato. Investigated effect of different concentration on growth and development of tomato and wheat seedling under different nutrient condition by water culture method.Observed adventitious root formation in mung bean hypocotyl cutting treated by earthworm coelomic fluid of different concentration,then compared the effect with adventitious root formation in mung bean hypocotyls cutting treated by IAA to preliminarily conjecture the type of effective substance.Results were as follow:Seed germination experiment showed that treated by earthworm coelomic fluid of heavier concentration,the germination energy of mung bean increased by 14.8% comparing to that treated by distilled water,while the germination energy of wheat and tomato decreased by 13.3%and 69.0%respectively.All the variances were significant (p<0.05).Comparing to stilled water treatment,treatment with earthworm coelomic fluid promoted the seed germination index of mung bean,but insignificantly(p>0.05) and the seed germination index of wheat and tomato significantly reduced by 34.8%and 41.2% respectively under the treatment of earthworm coelomic fluid of heavier concentration (p<0.05).Treatment with earthworm coelomic fluid nearly had no effect on the seed germination percentages of three species ultimately.Treatment with earthworm coelomic fluid urged the prolongation of plumular axis and radicle of mung bean seedling and restrained the formation of dry substance in the plumular axis and radicle significantly (p<0.05);Treatment with earthworm coelomic fluid of lighter concentration promoted the prolongation of plumular axis,while treatment with earthworm coelomic fluid of heavier concentration significantly inhibited the prolongation of both plumular axis and radicle of wheat seedling(p<0.05).Treatment with earthworm coelomic fluid showed restraining effect on the formation of dry substance in the plumular axis and radicle of wheat seedling, but had no significance(p>0.05).Treatment with earthworm coelomic fluid boosted the prolongation of plumular axis and restrained the prolongation of radicle of tomato seedling significantly(p<0.05),but not influced the formation of dry substance in the whole seedling of tomato.The results that significant(p<0.05) elevation of vigor index of mung bean seed and insignificant(p>0.05) elevation of vigor index of wheat seed under the treatment of earthworm coelomic fluid indicated that earthworm coelomic fluid generally promoted the germination process of seed.The results of seedling incubation by water culture method indicated that adding earthworm coelomic fluid treatment could significantly promote all the growth indexes of tomato and wheat seedlings(p<0.05).After treated by earthworm coelomic fluid,apparent variance of parts of stems and leaves of two species occurred.Except several growth indexes treated by earthworm coelomic fluid of heavier concentration,nearly all of the seedling height,area of leaf and average length of leaf indexes under the treatment of earthworm coelomic fluid were significantly higher than the Ck(p<0.05).Under different nutrient conditions,the height of both species declined with the asent of concentration of earthworm coelomic fluid,and the area of leaves of tomato seedlings had the analogous variance law.Treated by different lighter concentration of earthworm coelomic fluid,the average lengths of leaves had no conspicuous variance,but they were significantly longer than those treated by heavier concentration of earthworm coelomic fluid(p<0.05). Different indexes of roots of two species had not the same response to the treatment of earthworm coelomic fluid of different concentration.The root length of tomato seedlings that were cultivated in mixed nutrient solution with 5%volume ratio of earthworm coelomic fluid under the nutrient condition of half concentration Hoagland nutrient solution was a little smaller than Ck,and the rest of indexes showed improvement after treated by earthworm coelomic fluid.Lighter concentration treatment had better enhancing effect than heavier concentration.With the asent of concentration of earthworm coelomic fluid,most growth indexes of roots of both species declined.Treatment with earthworm coelomic fluid enhanced the formation of dry substance in parts of stem,leaf and root,and the ratio of root to shoot as well.Mung bean hypocotyl cutting experiment manifested that after treatment of 24h,the numbers,formation range,length and fresh weight of the adventitious roots in mung bean hypocotyl cuttings treated by the coelomic fluid secreted by earthworm increased significantly(p<0.05),in contrast with those treated by Haogland nutrient solution and distilled water,and could reach 2.45times,3.07times,1.75times and 3.14times as the control respectively.Compared with the mung bean cuttings treated by IAA solution,there were significantly(p<0.05) more adventitious roots formating in mung bean hypocotyl cuttings treated by the coelomic fluid secreted by earthworm.Comparison with effect of adventitious root formation in mung bean hypocotyl cutting treated with IAA showed the type of substance that had biological activity might not be IAA,but more close to ethenoid hormone.
