Photoperiod thermo sensitive genic male sterile rice Zhu1S and Lu18S,which were treated by space mutation,γ-ray and combined,were used as materials for experiments. This research mainly focus on:the generation seedling's DNA of dealing seeds was analyzed to identify genetic diversity using RAPD;the growth and development of the generation plants by space mutation treatment were studied as well as agronomy trait variance;the second generation mutation frequency of the generation plants by space mutation treatment were reported,and the physiological indexes of the mutant were determined including protective enzyme activity and chlorophyll content.The main results are showed as following:1.The generation seedling's DNA of seeds,which were treated by space mutation,γ-ray and combined,was identified genetic diversity.The results of RAPD showed that the generation seedling's DNA of dealing seeds has distinction,and three mutation treatments,that were a practical and feasible breeding path.2.The growth and development of the first generation plants as well as agronomic trait diversity,which were treated by space mutation,60Co-γray and combined,were studied. The results of RAPD showed that the different treatment had different biotical effect (radiation damage or stimulated growth) in the first generation.Three treatments could efficiently change main economic trait correlations' direction and correlativity. Radiosensitivities of two Photoperiod thermo sensitive genic male sterile rice Zhu1S and Lu18S had identical reflect by different mutation process in the first generation,but three mutation treatments had different effect for each variety.3.Two varieties' mutation rate of different mutation treatments showed uniformity in the second generation,but superordinary selective ratio of two varieties was different each other.Different mutants were selected from the second offspring.These mutants' physiological and biochemical indicators were detected including POD activity,SOD activity,CAT activity and chlorophyll contents.The result showed those indicators presented diversity.
