It was conducted that cotyledon and first true leaf were mechanical wounding with different degrees at stage of cucumber seedlings, which were determined and compared with effect by mechanical wounding(growth indexes)and changes of physiological and biochemnical material, the results showed that:1. The growth indexes, such as plant height and leaf area were significantly lower than those of the control, stem width were significantly greater than those of the control.2. The content of soluble suger and solubility carbohydrat in cucumber leaves were higher than that of control, and the tendency that increased firstly, then decreased, soluble suger after wounding 36 hours, solubility carbohydrat after wounding 24 hours ,were at the peak base. Chlorophyll content the tendency decreased firstly, then increased, the content was lower than that of control, and the activities declined to the lowest after 12 hours. Malondiadehyde and Proline content present the tendency as that of soluble suger content, Malondiadehyde content rised shapely after wounding, which were maximum after wounding 12 hours, the content of proline were at the peak base after wounding 36 hours, and higher than that of control. Hydrogen peroxide content of control have no change, and two treatments were maximum after wounding 6 hours, then decreased. After wounding 24 hours the content were same as control. The content of tannin, ferulic acid, chlorogenic acid were higher than that of control, and the tendency that increased firstly, then decreased, the content of tannin were at the peak base after wounding 36 hours, the content of ferulic acid were at the peak base after wounding 84 hours, and chlorogenic acid content change slowly at the prophase, which were maximum after wounding 36 hours.3. The content of soluble suger and solubility carbohydrat in the first true leaves were higher than that of control, and the tendency that increased firstly, then decreased, soluble suger after wounding 60 hours, solubility carbohydrat after wounding 24 hours ,were at the peak base. Chlorophyll content the tendency decreased firstly, then increased, the content was lower than that of control, and the activities declined to the lowest after 24 hours. Malondiadehyde and Proline content present the tendency as that of soluble suger content, Malondiadehyde content rised shapely after wounding, which were maximum after wounding 24 hours, the content of proline were at the peak base after wounding 60 hours, and higher than that of control. Hydrogen peroxide content of control have no change, and two treatments were maximum after wounding 6 hours. The content of tannin, ferulic acid, chlorogenic acid were higher than that of control, and the tendency that increased firstly, then decreased, the content of tannin were at the peak base after wounding 60 hours, the content of ferulic acid were at the peak base after wounding 108 hours, and chlorogenic acid content change slowly at the prophase, which were maximum after wounding 36 hours.
